Les Vignes is a rambling 18th century Maison Bourgeoise property located in the heart of the wonderful Limousin-Perigord National Park, in a little village called Abjat-sur-Bandiat. 
This lovely spacious, 6 bedroomed house is ideal for family holidays, or an adults' only retreat. It boasts a sunny terrace and pool area, and being located in the heart of the village, it is peaceful and relaxing whilst offering a peek into Dordogne village life. The house is well equipped and homely, accommodating from 13-20 people.
The property has been very tastefully decorated and all have a dedicated bath or shower room. Rental includes the cost of utilities, towels and bedding.

The paradox of the Perigord-Vert is its sublime anonymity that is largely undiscovered, even by the French. Conversely, the Dordogne has a reputation for having summer crowds. North of Perigeux and South of Limoges, Abjat is an area with lush farmland and working villages, it has green hills and valleys sprinkled with medieval townships.

Local markets are some of the best, and there's a variety of activities in the area, for those who don't just want to lounge by the pool. The village is in the heart of The Perigord National Park, which gives access to gorgeous woodland walks and bike rides (bike hire available locally), great for wildlife and nature, all starting from the centre, not to mention the great lake swimming just outside of the village, with supervised 'beaches', canoe and pedalo hire and many snack bars. The village has a boulangerie, a bar/restaurant and other amenities, plus it has a very friendly community.

You can fill every day, but of course you are not compelled to go anywhere once you have enjoyed croissant and coffee on the terrace. Simply stay at home, perhaps by the pool, a cool glass of wine on hand and the BBQ ready for use!

Abjat-sur-Bandiat has a lovely 8th Century church, two lively bars/restaurants and shops including a traditional boulangerie producing the best freshly baked baguettes in France (at least we think so)!!, butcher, and 'corner shop'.
We are surrounded by lakes, some to fish in and others with a beach and safe swimming. One such lake, is at Saint Saud Lacoussiere just 6Km's away and many other attractions for a day out are easily reachable.

A £200 returnable 'breakages and cleaning' deposit is taken prior to arrival, and returned after end of holiday inspection (subject to conditions).

Minimum stay for whole house rental is 5 days.
