Coat Aillis is a small complex of 6 self catering gites in Plestin Les Greves, Brittany. It's been a friendly family run business for over 20 years – situated in the most beautiful and tranquil coast of the Côtes-d’Armor. Coat Aillis is just two minute drive away from the beach or a 15-20 minute walk.
Our gite complex consists of five traditional stone buildings, which have been renovated into very comfortable gites, plus a large farmhouse. The properties are of differing sizes, sleeping from 5 to 14 people – each gite has its own private garden ideal for the perfect family holiday. There is also WiFi on site.
The most popular attraction at Coat Aillis is undoubtedly the 12 x 6m swimming pool and with its all weather cover guarantees continuous use from April to the end of October. Guests have the ability to swim in the worst of weather conditions with the roof closed.
Next to the swimming pool there is also a sauna, toilet and shower.
There is a games room (80sqm) with snooker table, table tennis and babyfoot.
Outside there are swings and a slide for children.
The commual park/garden is very elegant with lots exotic shrubs and trees with lots of quiet corners + two gazebos.

Maison Principale is a detached house and is the largest property in Coat Aillis. The house has 2 floors with six bedrooms a bathroom, 3 shower and 3 toilets. The first floor has 4 bedrooms: 3 bedrooms each have a double bed, the fourth bedroom on this floor has 4 single beds.
On the 2nd floor there are a further 2 bedrooms: one bedroom has a bunk-bed and the other bedroom has 2 singles.There is also a shower and toilet to service the 2 bedrooms.
Downstairs you walk into a hall. To the right there is the lounge and dining area which are open plan, there is a large table in the dining area that can sit 14 people. The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas and several chairs and with three windows which makes it a sunny room.
There is also a day room off the hall which has a TV and DVD and sofas to sit and watch television. This room can be used as an optional 7th bedroom as it has a sofa-bed.
On entering Maison Principale the kitchen is to the left, it’s is well equipped with a 5 burner stainless steel hob with a big oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. There is a large secluded/private garden with BBQ and picnic table with chairs.
The house has central heating with radiators and a wood burner heater in the lounge which adds to the ambiance.

We have a dedicated games room including a pool table, table tennis table and for lego set for younger children.

The beaches are close by and the area is fantastic for lovely walks.
Coat Aillis is an ideal base for hikers as the GR34 passes within a 100m of the entrance, as it follows the coastline of Brittany.
There is a small mountain bike trail (plestin VTT Map) to Plestin and Toul Hery and it takes around 2 hours. It is mostly all little tracks and fields it passes our entrance so is easy to join.
There are half a dozen tracks from Coat Aillis to the sea front some official but the more interesting are “hors piste ” for keen walkers at 4.00 we take our 2 dogs for a walk so follow the guides.
There is a Sunday market in Plestin where you can buy some delicious local delicacies such as delicious local cheeses, crepes, spit roasted chicken, and the freshest vegetables.
The Village Gaulois - The Gallic Village in Pleumeur-Bodou near Cosmopolis is visited by about 80,000 people every year.
Armoripark - Enjoy a relaxing day at Armoripark in a flowery wildlife environment, full of water and open-air activities. Has indoor and outdoor leisure pool centre and open-air activities.
Chateau de Taureau - A Napoleonic fort in the bay of Morlaix built to protect the port during the Napoleonic war.Day trips to visit the fort available from Port de Diben ( Plouganou ).
Tree-top adventure park - Based in the heart of Finnestre near Carhaix provides a fun day out for all the family in woodlands in a safe secure environment an exciting day out for children of all ages.
Local sailing school - Located at St Efflam a short distance from Coat Allis you can hire kayaks, sailing yachts including Hobi Cats, Catamarans, Kite Boards or paddle arbout in a kayak or stand up paddle board.
Golf - There is an excellent 18 hole course at St Samson or a smaller 9 hole course at Carantec both with superb sea views. Located less than a 25 minute drive away.
