Bluebell Cottage - Lovely Furnished Meadow View Gite in Janaillat, Limousin

Set in the Creuse department right in the centre of France, Bluebell cottage sleeps up to 10 guests plus a baby. ​The rooms are light and spacious, and the whole house has a "home from home" feel.

Bluebell cottage has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside, which proves to be spectacular throughout all the four seasons. The cottage has been refurbished to enhance its' original features whilst adding modern touches to provide a relaxing, enjoyable and comfortable family holiday. The property offers fully equipped self-catering accommodation with everything need for a relaxing and fun family holiday. The gîte is suitable for families of all ages, and we can provide a cot and highchair if required.

The location is perfect for that ideal ‘get away from it all break’ where you can enjoy a leisurely walk or a bike ride and admire the beautiful countryside. There is also a local riding stables. We do advise that you have a car to enjoy the vast countryside and all that the Creuse region has to offer.

The cottage is located on the edge of the rural village of Janaillat, which is situated centrally within a triangle of 3 towns, La Souterraine, Bourganeuf and Gueret, and is only a short drive away from the village of Bénévent-l'Abbaye. You can visit historic towns for markets, cafés and restaurants, or you can simply relax by the pool and look out onto the amazing views.

The cottage comprises:

Ground Floor: The large open plan lounge has solid oak beams and it's original fireplace with log burner, and is a real hub for the whole family. We have a selection books, puzzles, CD's, DVD's and a I Dock. There are two large inviting sofas, a TV with UK Sky Channels, French TNT and a DVD player, and a small dining table (to seat 4). There is a well equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, Gas Cooker, Fridge/ Freezer, Microwave, Coffee Machine, Toaster and Washing Machine. The separate dining room, has a large table to seat 10 people. The kitchen and lounge both have direct access out onto the terrace area where we provide Patio Table & Chairs with parasol and a BBQ. From the terrace there is direct access on to the garden and pool terrace. This is an advantage for watching small children.

1st Floor: Bedroom 1: A double bedroom. Bedroom 2: A double bedroom. Family Bathroom 1: Bath (with shower), wash hand basin & toilet. Family bathroom 2: Bath (with shower), wash hand basin & toilet.

2nd Floor: Bedroom 3: Very spacious Family bedroom, with 2 single beds and a double sofa-bed. Bedroom 4: Twin Room with 2 Single beds. All room on this floor have Velux windows with black-out blinds. 

All bedrooms are freshly decorated, and they all have plenty of hanging and drawer storage. Fans are supplied (on request) in hot summer months.

Terrace / Garden: The terrace has patio furniture with Parasol and a BBQ, ideal for eating al-fresco or to spend relaxing evenings viewing the night sky with it's myriad of stars and listening to the grasshoppers in the nearby meadows. The large lawned garden is fenced on all sides so is safe for small children. The direct access from the rear of the gite leads straight onto the terrace and garden so small children can be watched.

We provide a complimentary welcome pack upon arrival, including Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Salt & Pepper (not for short term bookings).

Our in-ground heated pool, open from May to October (weather depending) is cleaned and maintained on a daily basis, and is fully compliant with French regulations & law. The terrace around the pool has relaxing sun-loungers for you to soak up the sun and enjoy the amazing views of the superb lush green rolling countryside. 

Linen, duvets, pillows and bathroom towels are provided in the price, but please bring your own beach towels. We do hire beach towels (please enquire). There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, outdoor airer, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and fan provided. During the Winter months, we provide electric heaters and winter bedding, aswell as a daily supply of log wood (October - March).
