Stunning Private Theoule-sur-Mer Holiday Villa, Private Pool and Panoramic Sea Views Reviews

Villa Ogilvie is particularly special! Having stayed in several rental villas in the South of France, the owners have an eye for detail which makes this villa the best we have ever rented.

The villa is arranged over two floors. There is a well appointed sitting room (with dining table is the weather is inclement) which opens onto the terrace with a large outdoor dining table and BBQ (with chimney) and the pool area. Next to this is a well equipped kitchen (with all essential kitchen appliances) and plenty of good quality crockery and cooking utensils (often so lacking in rental properties). Also on this level is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. This also opens onto the terrace offering fabulous views over the Bay of Cannes and the Iles de Lerins. One of my most memorable mornings was waking (accidentally!) at 6am and seeing the amazing sunrise over the islands with fabulous warm light streaming across the glistening Med!

On the lower level are three more bedrooms (one double, two twins) all with en-suites (one has a bath) and a laundry room. There is an independent self-contained flatlet on the lower level (with independent TV, kitchen and bathroom) which is ideal should anyone bring the nanny (or the mother-in-law!).

The pool is well appointed with a great view. For me, it was a perfect size for cooling off and playing with kids. There is a closable gate to keep young children out of the area if adults are not supervising. There are plenty of sun loungers on both levels as well as outdoor seating areas for those who are not sun-lovers.

There is off road parking (although the drive is steep and it is best to reverse down). The property is only a short drive from Theoule-sur-Mer (about 5 mins) where there is an excellent selection of shops - boulangerie (2), a Spar and Casino supermarket, post office, cash point and of course excellent local restaurants. A superb Casino hypermarket can be found 15 min drive away at La Napoule, La Trayas is only 5 mins west on the road to Agay passing the fabulous Esterel mountains. The area is, of course, a gastronomic delight. Michelin starred restaurants abound for the nights that you don't fancy a BBQ!

It is only a 20min drive to Cannes and 45min to Nice Airport. St Tropez can be reached by boat from Cannes in 1.5 hours (car same time) and there are numerous ways of getting to the islands.

This villa has everything to make you holiday perfect - great location, high quality - home from home!

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of August and loved it. We were a mixed party of children, teenagers adults and an Oap.

The Villa is absolutly charming, and has everything you could need. The views are to die for and the weather was amazing.

To sum it up we all had a fabulous holiday and have been dreaming of our little piece of heaven ever since.
