Ideal house for a pleasant stay with a large family
Hello, easy arrival thanks to John's good communication and warm welcome from his friends on site. The garden, the terraces, the house and the heated swimming pool are perfect, we stayed pleasantly with a dozen people. The cleaning was correct and communication with John to fix the small inconveniences encountered was easy. On arrival the house certainly needed to be aired a little but given the season this seems normal and was done quickly. The bedding is in good condition! Good stays to future families or friends on site!

Service lacking a little finishing touches
Very good stay, despite the pool not being in operation. The problem with the basement drainage system needs to be addressed. Luckily there were only 3 adults.

Pleasant stay

Very nice house and great pool
The house is as described. My garden is very nice. The bedding is very comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment. There are plenty of deckchairs by the pool and the water temperature is very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Alright
We had a very good stay at Le Givre. The house is large and pleasant to live in. The pool is large, well heated, and secure, perfect for children. The environment is calm and allows for some simple walks in the surrounding countryside. The sea is 30/35 minutes away in high season. End-of-stay cleaning is not included, and the equipment provided, especially the vacuum cleaner, is not up to the size of the house. (Vacuum cleaner clogged and no bags provided). Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay with family and friends.

I don't recommend this rental to anyone.
Dirty property, there are bedbugs and cockroaches everywhere. The TVs didn't work. When it rains, water comes through the living room ceiling. Dirty and rusty clothespins. No light at the pool or behind the hedge, pigs, chickens and goats live, unbreathable smell. Bedding full of stains. The dishwasher filter was so dirty it was vomit-inducing. Barbecue full of ash when we arrived. Foam added to the side of the mattress to make an XL bed. Shower drains very dirty. A 3-seater sofa, not comfortable at all, with 2 armchairs for 14 people, is a bit tight. Converting euros to pounds will cost you more than 300 euros extra. The toaster is broken. You had to wash the dishes before you could eat on clean plates. Do not look under the beds or try to move a bedside table or the laundry basket, otherwise you will see dead sheep and flies. We are very disappointed with our vacation.

Lovely setting, lots of room, good facilities, great pool, prompt service.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this gite. However, you need to use the car to get anywhere or buy anything: no local shops. We found the built-in barbecue at the wrong end of the house, away from the action. Also the policy of not leaving any rubbish or recycling caused us some problems.
