Traditional Gite with Heated Pool in Ille et Vilaine, near Combourg, Brittany - The Old Bakery Gite

There are four traditional gites, a small campsite and a heated swimming pool. The properties are spread over 3 areas, ideal for families with small children. Located in Ille et Vilaine near Combourg, Brittany, France.

Le Bois Coudrais is centrally located for exploring the many historical sites and towns in this region of Brittany. These include such places like Le Mont. St. Michel, Rennes, St. Malo, Dinan and Fougeres and the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast.

The Bakery is one of four gites at Le Bois Coudrais, a little hamlet that feels very secluded but is only a short drive from the bustling, traditional Breton town of Combourg in Northern Brittany.

The Bakery is a detached, granite cottage. 

There is a double bedroom on the ground floor plus twin beds on a mezzanine floor.

As the double room, shower and toilet are all on the ground floor, this cottage is ideally suited for persons with limited mobility.

Features at The Old Bakery

The Old Bakery gite features an individual patio area with a BBQ, making it perfect for relaxing after a hard day of exploring the local area or having fun in the on site swimming pool. Wifi is available in the gite and throughout the site.The heated pool (mid May to Mid September) is 12m x 6m and is fenced and gated for additional safety.

Booking & Rental

Rental is Saturday to Saturday during July and August, all other times can be flexible with a minimum stay of 3 nights.

Prices include: , Gas, electricity, water and full use of all site facilities.
Highchairs and baby bath are available at no extra charge when pre-booked in advance.

Linen is not included, but can be rented for 15 euros per person per week (not towels)
Tax de sejour of 0.60c per night, per person over 16, is applicable and can be paid with final payment.

Out & About

This area of France has much to offer visitors of all ages.

The historic towns of Dinan, Rennes, St Malo and Fougeres are all within easy distance, with the beautiful Mont St Michel and the lovely beaches of the Emerald coast and the Cote d'Armor close by.

The local town of Combourg is lively throughout the year with traditional Breton dancing and festivals to watch. Colourful weekly markets to buy locally grown produce and hand crafted goods. 

For children, there are zoos, parks, aquariums, treewalking, canoeing and sand yachting to name but a few of the activities to keep even the most energetic holiday makers occupied!
