The only drawback is the difficulty of driving up the path. We skidded, especially on rainy days, so we parked our car at the neighbors' house.

We had a wonderful stay in Janet's chalet, whose kindness and availability are to be highlighted! The chalet is very well located (40m from the end of the blue "aillouds" slope which leads back to the bottom of the Prarion): once the car is parked on the slope (a little steep) you don't touch it anymore! Shopping can be done on foot for the bravest. The view from the living room and the master bedroom is superb. Everything else in the chalet is cozy and functional. The children loved the "autonomy" aspect with the key box system. In short, if we add that the price is quite reasonable compared to the other chalets in Maisonneuve, there are only positives! Thank you Janet, see you soon!

Cozy chalet with amazing views
We loved our stay at Janet’s chalet. It was very warm and cozy, had everything we needed and the most amazing views. There are ski areas very close and Les Houches ski area was perfect for us & kids as beginners. Our kids also had hours of fun on the sleds provided at the chalet! Janet was very responsive to our questions and any issues we had were quickly resolved. Thank you for such an amazing Christmas in the alps!

Cosy and well equipped chalet with magnificent views
Perfect chalet for our first family skiing holiday, very close to the slopes, plenty of space for a family of six, lovely views of the mountains. Away from the noise of the village but close enough to get to shops, ski lifts , ski hire shops and restaurants within five minutes. We very much enjoyed our stay in Chalet Altitude

We have stayed at the lovely Chalet Altitude on several occasions, both in and out of the ski season. Its location affords not only spectacular views of the valley towards Chamonix, Mont Blanc, the ski slopes, even to the Aiguille du Midi, but allows direct access to the piste for sheer ease and fun. Access to Les Houches, which provides all amenities expected, is a short car ride away down the hillside or even by a short cross country hike with a rucksack on to carry your provisions back to the Chalet.
The bright, warm and snug Chalet, on 3 levels, caters for everyone, the open plan kitchen/diner/living room a lovely place to cook (as I enjoy), eat (as they enjoy) or to simply read and admire the views (as we all do). Views vary from bedroom to bedroom offering a good all round view of your location.
Jan, the owner, who we have known over some years, is always a pleasure to communicate with, always helpful in terms of local knowledge and date-arranging, even down to securing car passes for us on a day we arrived which coincided with a world cup skiing downhill (the Kandahar, well worth seeing if you can!).
I would not wish to stay anywhere else with my family for the foreseeable future. Thanks to Jan and to Chalet Altitude.
