Les Cottages St Nicol (Apple Tree Cottage & Cherry Tree Cottage) are 2 holiday cottages set in a pretty orchard style garden in the picturesque medieval town of Honfleur, Normandy, France.
Each cottage has an open plan living area, one double bedroom, a luxury shower room, its own terrace plus the use of the garden and patio area. Each cottage has its own parking space, set behind lockable gates within the gardens.
The cottages are a short walk from all the shops, cafes, restaurants and art galleries in Honfleur town centre (300 meters from the shops and 400 meters from the Old Harbour (Vieux Bassin).

The cottages have been built in the traditional Normandy style using reclaimed oak timbers, flints & salvaged terra cotta tiles.

The cottages were constructed in 2014 and made to a very high standard with double glazed windows, good heat insulation, thermostatic  electric heating and modern amenities. The furnishings in the stylish interiors are all new, with fixtures and fittings of good quality. Both cottages have a double bedroom, shower room and living area with armchairs, dining table and a corner kitchen. Both also have UK & French TV, Wifi, an outside terrace and off street parking.

We are dog friendly, but only one dog per cottage. The garden is fully enclosed.

The Cottage has its own secure off street parking place and its own terrace, plus the use of the communal garden.

The Cottage has exposed oak beams and reclaimed ‘tomette’ (hexagonal) tiles on the ground floor and has an oak staircase. Every effort has been made to retain the charm of the Cottages.

The kitchen has a double electric hob, combination oven/microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, extractor, toaster & kettle plus a comprehensive range of utensils.

Local Attractions

Honfleur is a pretty medieval coastal town on the Normandy coast at the mouth of the river Seine. At the centre of the town is the old harbour 'vieux bassin', surrounded by a large selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, museums and art galleries.

There are many attractive walks to be enjoyed around the town, in the surrounding countryside and along the sandy beach. The chapel of Notre-Dame de Grace has panoramic views across the town.

St Catherine’s church with it’s separate bell tower is one of the oldest wooden churches in France and well worth a visit. There are also many other medieval buildings, museums and parks to explore in the town.

Honfleur has a strong connection with the impressionist artists. A picture painted by Claude Monet entitled ‘Rue de la Bavole’ is shown on a plaque about 100 metres from the cottages to indicate where it was painted and you can still recognise most of the buildings!

Other places of interest include:
