For us, a great holiday villa has to have a view to die for and this villa is doubly fortunate in that you get a fantastic view from the dining terrace, the pool area and the lower decked area, magical at night when all the lights are on in the garden and out to the sea.
The pool itself was brilliant one depth making it fun to play water games in. The villa was great - and our teenage son was especially impressed with the large flat screen TV with freeview channels. The sofas were comfy and tasteful, as was the other furniture - in fact everything was very tastefully decorated especially the main bathroom & 2 shower rooms which were very contemporary. Love the way the towels were neatly rolled up ready for use - a real 'boutique hotel' touch and the hamper with a bottle of local chill rosé wine left by Sue.
The location was very central for everything. The drive to Sainte Maxime (on the coast) was excellent - a good, fast road - and the beaches around Sainte Maxime (on the Frejus road) are, in our opinion, superior to anything further along the coast. And you can park easily, right by the beach! No pay and display!
The villa being just around the corner from the amazing Route de Vins was very useful although we actually preferred the local wine co-op (half an hour's walk approx through the vineyards) where the friendly staff were delighted to let us taste the (very reasonably priced and high quality) wine (and bring quite a bit home, too!)
The villa wasn't too far to the famous Gorges du Verdon and its lake - a nice day out. Draguignan with its American war cemetery was also just around the corner.
With this villa you get the best of all worlds. A real 'get away from it all' feeling, yet you're handy for just about everything and everywhere. Perfect.

This is as idyllic as it gets - perfect location, panoramic views of the beautiful countryside and absolute peace and privacy. The villa has everything you may need to make your holiday easy and comfortable. The property is spotlessly clean, well-maintained and tastefully decorated throughout. We appreciated the comfortable mattresses and pillows, the upgraded linens and fluffy towels, the masses of hot water, satellite TV BBQ, and outside drinks fridge. WiFi, stereo, washing machine, dishwasher, huge fridge, iron, shelves of books and even duvets for the odd cool night.
The pool area is outstanding. It provides even more views over the vineyards and is a total sun trap. Beautiful memory. The covered terrace is a good place to read, listen to the birds and just relax. The location is ideal for exploring the whole region, so we set off each morning and returned mid-afternoon to swim, snooze, read and relax. Oh, and eat the goodies we'd bought at the country markets. It's one of the most relaxing holidays I've ever had. The House Book and maps provided were extremely helpful, thank you.
For wines try Chateau Ste Roseline, Chateau D'Esclans, although there are domaines dotted all over the place. For street markets, Le Muy on Sunday and Lorgues on Tuesday fantastic.
I would absolutely recommend this property - what you see on the website is what you get, and then some.

I have been staying at this villa for 2 weeks every year for over 10 years. My holiday in 2012 was as excellent as all the others have been. The villa is set in a superb location with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, very tranquil, and extraordinarily relaxing. The villa itself offers all the facilities one really needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is not 5 star luxury - for that you have to go to the coast and pay 3 times as much. However, it has all that one could need and is very comfortable. It's within easy reach of local shops, supermarkets and local Provencal markets. There is a range of good quality restaurants in nearby villages. The villa's pool is unusually large for a private villa and is set in a fantastic sun terrace.
The local managers keep the place clean and spotless and are always on hand to help if needed, eg a major storm causes a power outage in the villa and surrounding properties - not uncommon in France.
I have always enjoyed fantastic holidays at this property and recommend it.

Please see the following - i hope this is ok as it heartfelt and honest...

There were six of us staying in Villa Pays Ribas in June this year. The Villa coped easily with us all. Every room had an en suite and loads of hot water at any time of day. The villa is beautifully kept both inside and out and the views are just magnificent and we mean MAGNIFICENT!. The personal touch was very much appreciated, from the bottle of local Rose wine chilling in the fridge on our arrival to the bountiful supply of towels and extra linen should we need it.

Sue, the property manager leaves an extremely useful House book with all kinds of useful information about the house and the surrounding area - where to eat and how to get there, where to shop and find the local markets. The Maybank family all work hard to ensure you have a very comfortable and relaxing stay in the Var region.

We have booked with Var Villas for quite a few years now and will be booking again in the future.
This villa has been rented by Var Villa Holidays for over 12 years. We would love to place ALL the lovely comments about the villa on this visitors page, we do not have the space for them all; therefoe I have placed to lastest ones sent to us on the page. This is a most popular property and always booked throught the months of July & August each year.
