Nestled on the edge of the unspoilt village of Soubès, at the foothills of the Cévennes National Park, La Lavande is a charming self-catering villa offering peace, privacy and beautiful countryside views. Located just 45 minutes from Montpellier and the Mediterranean coast, it provides the perfect setting for relaxing family holidays throughout the year.
Surrounded by extensive private gardens, the villa overlooks the picturesque village and enjoys spectacular views across the Cévennes mountains. With a large fenced swimming pool (8m x 4m), several sunny terraces, a brick-built barbecue and plenty of outdoor space for children to play, La Lavande is ideal for families and groups of up to 6–8 guests.
Inside, the villa is bright, spacious and comfortably furnished, offering three/four bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining area, and a cosy log-burning fire that makes it equally attractive for autumn and winter escapes.
The property enjoys complete privacy without being isolated. The village of Soubès is only a short drive away, or around a ten-minute walk along a delightful woodland path beside the river. Here you'll find a small local shop together with a welcoming café and restaurant.
The surrounding Hérault countryside offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities including walking, hiking, mountain biking, e-biking, birdwatching and cycling. Nearby attractions include the spectacular Lac du Salagou, where visitors can enjoy swimming, canoeing and a variety of watersports, while the nearby Hérault River is perfect for peaceful riverside walks and paddling.
History lovers can explore the magnificent medieval villages of La Couvertoirade, just 20 minutes away, or the famous Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, one of France's most beautiful villages. The historic town of Lodève, only 6 km from the villa, offers a lively market, excellent restaurants, cafés and a wide selection of local shops.
Golf enthusiasts are well catered for with several excellent courses nearby, including Béziers, Cap d'Agde and Fontcaude, while wine lovers can discover numerous vineyards throughout the surrounding Languedoc countryside with opportunities for tastings and cellar visits.

Special Rental Conditions
During Low Season weeks, we can offer shorter stays (minimum 3 nights) from £60.00 per night.
The villa can also be rented for a long week-end or short week., For a long stay out of season we are happy to negotiate rates.
Pool open from May to end of September.
Additional charges: A fuel surcharge of £8.00 per night will be added to winter lets to cover the cost of heating and logs.
For numbers over 6 there will be a charge of £30.00 per week per extra person.
