In spite of rain during our entire stay, La Fournil is still a beautiful spot with wonderful views. The gite was immaculately clean and well furnished with everything we needed. We loved it, and it was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. One small caveat, however. If you are the only guests, as we were at the time we were there, it can feel a bit remote since the hosts live off-site. That doesn't detract from the beauty of the location or the gite - you just need to be comfortable with the isolation.

Great views from the terrace admiring views with glass of wine in hand. Lovely spot to explore the surrounding countryside. Friendly and helpful hosts

Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to France. Centrally located, so if you have your own car you can easily reach a number of attractions from here. It is remote enough though to offer total peace and quiet in the countryside, with the exception of fabulous birdsong as you look out over a peaceful valley. The site has been beautifully restored, giving an historic ambience but with all the modern amenities. A delightful place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

This gite was stunning the location was fantastic with a fab pool. The surroundings were tranquil and quiet yet only 15 minutes from the impressive Sarlat and the other dordogne attractions.my wife and I have never slept so well and the batteries completely recharged. It was sad to leave. On our final morning we ate breakfast in the sun looking over the valley and marvelled at the red deer that had wandered into the grounds. Amazing. Our hosts chris and kate were fantastic and looked after us ensuring a trouble free stay at la fournil.

Very well presented and maintained property. Le Fournil was a charming hideaway. Kate And Chris had thought of everything needed for a relaxing self catering holiday. The property was very clean. There were lots of interesting places to visit. We recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing holiday .

This was our third stay at La Ferme de la Tour which is in a gem of a location in a rural setting with views over the Dordogne valley, but only a 15 minute trip into Sarlat for exploring/shopping/restaurants. Also, a great central location for the wonderful delights of this region of France. These cottages have a number of repeat bookings which speaks volumes. Book and enjoy!

The gite was one of five on site and could accommodate 2 adults sharing a double room. The living and cooking area are on the ground floor, together with the shower room. The double bedroom was on the first floor. The property was very clean and the owners, welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the end gite, which was rustic and cosy and had stunning views from the raised balcony. The gite was well equipped for all our basic needs. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, who visited regularly. The pool was clean and welcoming, but the water a tad on the chilly side! However, not a problem on scorching hot days. The complex is in a beautiful rural setting, but you would need your own transport to get about. Overall, we had a very peaceful and relaxing stay.

Comfortable, small but well equipped property with a delightful outlook across expansive maintained grounds to a classic Dordogne landscape. The setting was second to none being peacefully rural whilst central to the region's main attractions. There were several pretty country walks from the door. Chris and Kate, who own Le Fournil and its neighbouring cottages, obviously put a lot of care and love into their holiday lets, they have a comprehensive knowledge of the area and are more than willing to give help and advice to visitors wishing to explore this lovely part of France
