Peaceful, Rural Gite with Pool in Perigord Natural Park, Dordogne

Lannet is a rural gite in a peaceful situation in the Perigord Natural Park. This spacious well appointed property offers roomy accommodation for 2 - 4 people. The lounge features a magnificent traditional fireplace which works well for chillier evenings out  of season, logs are provided, and seating for 6. A door from the kitchen area leads to a terrace with table & chairs for dining, steps lead down into the garden.

In the large,fenced garden there is further under cover space for dining along with the barbecue. The 9m x 4m pool has a sitting out area with sunloungers. There is space in the garden, which is mostly laid to lawns, for games and plenty of shady spots for relaxation.

Mature trees provide shade when needed and the garden is carefully tended by the owners who live next door. The local area is renowned for it's natural history with a variety of diverse habitats for wildflowers, especially orchids, birds and butterflies. We are both keen on natural history and are only too happy to offer help and advice.

Vegetables and fresh herbs are available from the garden along with some soft fruits.

A choice of walks is available from the doorstep providing easy access to the surrounding woods.

Lannet is an ideal spot for those in search of quiet relaxation in our glorious countryside. The wide open skies here are wonderful for stargazers, we have an astronomical telescope, along with several other interesting aids for studying the wildlife. The sunsets here are often spectacular.
