Normandy Barn - Luxury 17th Century Fully Renovated Barn, Perfect as a Bespoke Gite for Adults

The Barn has 2 Queen size beds, each room having an ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe.
Both bathrooms have walk in showers and Bedroom 2 has a large bathtub. Both bedrooms are upstairs, with a toilet washroom downstairs as well.
The kitchen is well equipped for the Cordon Bleu chef and the Barn is well appointed with quality furnishings including a large screen TV, double sofas and a large dining table.

Wi Fi is free, but we cannot always guarantee the service due to our rural location.

The Barn is sunny, bright and cheerful during summer days, yet warm and inviting during winter due to the underfloor heating and log fire.

Perfect for couples or 2 single people... Full underfloor heating and wood burner can be included.

Please note: We try to operate with minimal environmental impact. We do ask that you recycle your rubbish to reduce landfill. There will be a surcharge of 50 euros for my housekeeper to sort and dispose of your waste.

We will take one couple as using 1 bedroom and bathroom only. If BOTH bedrooms and bathrooms are used, we shall apply a surcharge of 50 euros to cover washing of linen and cleaning of 2 extra rooms.

We are located close to several charming villages offering all essential amenities, including patisseries, bakeries, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, cafés and restaurants.

Ideal as a peaceful escape or a true home away from home, the property is perfectly suited to one or two couples looking for a relaxing holiday retreat or romantic getaway.

The location is excellent for exploring many of Normandy’s most famous attractions, including the spectacular Mont Saint-Michel, the historic Bayeux Tapestry and the city of Caen with its strong connections to William the Conqueror. Nearby Mortain is home to the beautiful Abbaye Blanche and the famous Cascades waterfalls, as well as breathtaking panoramic views across the valley. The area also holds important World War II history.

Local towns host traditional weekly farmers’ markets, offering wonderful fresh produce and an authentic French experience not to be missed.

Normandy is renowned for its rolling green countryside, cider production, traditional stone houses, and exceptional butter and cheeses.

The surrounding area also boasts many excellent restaurants and cafés, making it wonderfully easy to enjoy fantastic local cuisine throughout your stay.

Short drive to a choice of casual restaurants and bars in either Sourdeval or Mortain.
We have an excellent restaurants close by who serve true French cuisine.
L'Abbaye is a French restaurant in Neufborg, a few klms away towards Mortain.

Very centrally located to visit historical sites in Normandy, Brittany, Orne and Calvados.

Additional price info and offers
Underfloor heating is on from October to April at a cost of €75 per week.
This heats both floors and includes wood for the wood burner.

Please note that one couple is charged for one room.
Both bedrooms and bathrooms are available at a cost of 50 euros.
This covers the additional linen and cleaning of 2 extra rooms. Thank you for understanding.
