4 Bedroom Luxury Villa in the Dordogne, Castels et Bézenac - Le Hibou Heureux Reviews

We loved this peaceful oasis at the top of the hill. The drive to the property offers views of the beautiful surrounding countryside, including the powerful, winding Dordogne River. The villa sits in a lovely garden with lavender, all sorts of fruit trees, Indian lilacs, and of course, a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers. It was so comfortable to relax on the shaded terrace. Everything you could possibly need was there. Our dog could play freely in the large, fully fenced garden. The villa is very practical and has all the comforts you could need. The owner, Ewen, did everything to make his property feel like our home during our stay. And that's all! Thank you so much, Ewen!

We had a fantastic time at Le Hiboux Heureux! The location is ideal, in the heart of the Périgord Noir region and close to all its attractions (castles, parks, caves, etc.). The house is spacious, quiet, and relaxing. We truly had a wonderful stay. Thank you to Ewen for his helpfulness and kindness.

The garden is huge, very private, and peaceful. Perfect for playing games with the children or simply enjoying the lovely view from the sun loungers. Inside, the beds are super comfortable, and all the bedrooms have lovely, clean, modern bathrooms. The kitchen is brilliantly stocked for cooks, and the whole house is well-equipped with everything you need for a holiday.

The house was ideally situated in the beautiful Dordogne countryside, near the top of the valley and the forest. It's very private and has all the amenities of a home away from home. The swimming pool is lovely, and the gardens are large and fully fenced, which was perfect for our dog. The area is great for walking and has many lovely places to eat. The Sunday market in Saint-Cyprien was a wonderful surprise, with numerous stalls lining the entire main street. The kitchen is also fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, which was fantastic as it's a lovely spot to eat outside on warm evenings. The bedrooms are very comfortable and dark with shutters, ensuring many good nights' sleep. Finally, we must mention Ewen, the host. He is undoubtedly a superb host who beautifully prepared his home for us, both inside and out. He is very responsive, extremely friendly, and helpful. Thank you so much Ewen for these memorable holidays. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Large house and beautiful large garden in a quiet and private location, but close to many attractions and activities in the Dordogne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ewen's. Ewen was very responsive, always available, and his instructions were clear. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to a range of activities and restaurants. The house is well-equipped, and a stay at Ewen's would certainly be an excellent base for exploring the region.

The house was amazing! I spent several nights and days here with my in-laws and my husband. Ewen was so kind and attentive! The kitchen was well-equipped, and the pool was a welcome relief on hot days. All the beautiful villages nearby are easily accessible by car. The whole experience was truly complete. We can't wait to come back for our next stay!
