It is an ideal base to explore the surrounding villages and the beautiful Atlantic coastline.  The surrounding views include fields of sunflowers, melons, wheat, barley, maize and vines.  The garden is mainly grass with mature trees, leading to woodland.  The cottage is situated in the Charente Maritime region, which is renowned for it's micro climate and is the second sunniest part of France after the Riveria.

La Maisonette was built in 1819 and was part of a small farm, the cottage was built with local limestone. With nearly 200 years of love and care, the cottage is still standing with it's original walls.

Inside, there is a large living room (36 square metres) with a log burner, tv, free internet, plenty of dvd's and games. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven, gas hob, coffee maker, washing machine and log burner. Stairs from the kitchen lead to the landing, bedrooms and newly renovated shower room. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second has 1 double and 1 single bed.  All the bedrooms and shower room have electric radiators.Outside the cottage is a nice seating area with table and chairs and outside lighting.  Behind the cottage you will find the large heated swimming pool with an outdoor shower, sunbeds, comfy seating under a gazebo and table and chairs with umbrella. There are also inflatibles for children to use.  The pool area is enclosed with stone walls and child proof locks on the gates with a pool alarm.

La Mignon Maison
It consists of a large living room/kitchen with a fireplace (which dates the cottage back to around 1740). The kitchen has a gas hob,  mini oven and microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, table and chairs. There is a tv and free wifi, plenty of books to read. Upstairs is a large bedroom with ensuite, a double. The outside seating area is in a nice sun trap and has chairs, table, sun umbrellla for shade and outside lighting at night.

The pool is for guests only.
