A big thanks to Christian for letting us rent his ..

A big thanks to Christian for letting us rent his apartment for one week. The apartment, itself, appears to have been recently renovated with everything being brand new. The apartment is well appointed with a comfortable couch (that turns into a bed), a nice TV, nice kitchen, and super comfortable bed. The outside patio is a nice bonus that gave us a place to eat breakfast and dinner (when we cooked). The pictures on the website do not do it justice. It is much bigger than it looks. With high ceilings and plenty of room, we never felt like there was not enough room. I will say that it is big enough for three adults (maybe four if you are not over 1.9 meters like me and my nephew) and is perfect for a family of four with two small children. Although we did not meet Christian, he had us all lined out before we arrived. He emailed us a guide with all the pertinent information on the apartment. Overall, Christian was a pleasure to deal with and would highly recommend renting from him should your travels land you in St-Malo.

Pro-Tips

If you do decide to stay in St-Malo here are a couple things to note. Parking is not included but not bad. It is free between 19.00 and 9.00 the next day. Then you have to pay from 9.00 to 12.00 and 14.00 to 19.00. If you do not leave St-Malo, expect to pay about 10-12 euros a day. If you leave for the day, like we did almost every day, parking ran no more than 3-4 euros per day. Finding a space was never an issue for us.

The walled city has all the services you need. There are plenty of shopping, bakeries, restaurants, and even a well stocked Carrefour City.

Pay attention to the low/high tide. You want to make sure to visit the connected islands during low tide to get stunning photos of the city.
