We spent two wonderful weeks at Elizabeth and Steve's place. We were hosted very well throughout our stay. The cottage is comfortable and very clean with all the necessities. The pool is great, and the surroundings are beautiful. It's a perfect starting point for visiting the Périgord Noir. We hope to be able to come back!
Very nice place to stay. The houses have been really nicely restored and offer a nice cool place to relax if it is very hot out (plus 30 degrees our entire stay). The estate is lovely with nice flowers and trees/forest. The pool area is very relaxing and our 2 boys had a great time in it. There are lovely walks to do on from the house through the forest and local fields. We saw two hares and numerous deer beside the house. Located about 5 minute drive from the local village which has essential stores and about 20 minutes from larger towns.
An unforgettable stay in a heavenly setting
The accommodation was perfect: clean, spacious and ideally located for exploring the area. The air conditioning was a real plus during the heatwave, allowing us to rest in absolute comfort.
The estate, with its swimming pool, is a true haven of peace, a little slice of heaven where you immediately feel good.
Elisabeth and her husband are exceptional hosts, not only because of their warm welcome, but also because of their incredible stories that made our stay even more enriching.
I highly recommend this place and hope to have the opportunity to return one day!
We stayed for a week within this beautiful cottage and wonderful location with our two year old. The cottage is very well equipped, with everything you need for cooking and preparing meals. A variety of baby equipment was provided such as baby monitor, highchair and cot! We found the cottage was toddler proof, clean, safe and secure. Whilst the weather wasn’t on our side for this week, there was still so much to do in the local areas. This location is a perfect base to explore the Dordogne.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the red deer sightings and walks around the amazing site that this cottage is on. Personable and friendly hosts who made you feel welcome and at ease. Nothing felt like too much bother. A great time and we would highly recommend to others.
Couldn’t have been happier with our accommodation: perfectly located for exploring the Dordogne valley and in a beautiful, peaceful environment. The property was modern whilst retaining much of the traditional character. We arrived mid heatwave and were grateful for the fans provided and the wonderful pool. Elizabeth was helpful in booking a restaurant for our first evening and what Steve didn’t know about the history of the property wasn’t worth knowing. He kept our girls entertained with his abundant artefacts found on the property and we loved his stories about the history of the estate.
Our hosts were extremely kind and available during our two-week vacation.
The bakery is a charming, quiet, relaxing place that has all the amenities we hoped for our stay.
A huge thank you for the quality of the hospitality and service.
We highly recommend.
Lovely stay in a superb location. It’s all been renovated with great skill and care. Excellent facilities and bags of outdoor space to relax or stroll around. Great pool. Highly recommended.
Beautiful location in the quiet, peaceful countryside. The hosts are welcoming and friendly and have lots of great recommendations. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back.
