This beautiful traditional 2 Bedroom cottage is very spacious and has recently been extensively and sensitively re-furbished. (It covers all the outbuildings in the photo gallery). It appears as if the property looks as if it is two cottages side by side, but it's just one property - a single detached, self contained, very private cottage. Guests often comment on the beauty and tranquility of the cottage and the setting. The property boasts a very large front garden, with direct access to the bank of the river, although still enclosed and gated, so that animals and toddlers are safe.
The cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, directly on the river bank of the Vilaine, next to the lock at Malon, and near the Corbiniere woods. European Waterway describe the Vilaine as 'one of the most beautiful rivers in France'. The location of the cottage is ideal for bird watching; fishing; walking; canoeing; cycling or just watching the boats go by. If you want to venture out, the surrounding medieval villages are worth exploring and peppered with artisan artists. The coast is around 45 minutes drive away.
