A magnificent medieval tower set within the grounds of an elegant 18th-century château, surrounded by superb gardens and beautiful architecture. Nestled on the edge of a small village in a deeply rural setting between Charente, Dordogne and Limousin, this is a truly special place to stay.

The atmosphere here is wonderfully romantic — you could almost imagine Rapunzel’s prince appearing below the tower, sword in hand, calling up to the high windows. Grand terraces, sweeping stairways and elegant balustrades cascade down towards a tree-lined avenue, inspired by the Italian Renaissance.

You’ll have your own private terrace on a separate level, tucked away with peaceful green views — perfect for relaxed mornings or sunset drinks.

Inside, the style is simple and unfussy: tiled floors, exposed stone walls, generous natural light and plenty of space. Books and games are provided for relaxed evenings in.

Comfortable Living with Character

Climb the steep wooden stairs to discover:

  • A master bedroom with en suite bathroom

  • One double bedroom

  • One twin bedroom

  • A shared shower room

Each bedroom enjoys magnificent countryside views.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area features a large table for sociable meals, with doors opening directly onto the terrace — ideal for easy summer lunches. A welcome pack of fresh French produce awaits your arrival.

Things to Enjoy During Your Stay

  • Long countryside walks straight from the door

  • Relaxing by the shared swimming pool

  • Friendly tennis matches on the shared court

  • A short stroll to the local bakery and village restaurant

  • Exploring the beautiful listed château gardens

Please note: the pool and tennis court are shared with other château guests. The tower’s steep stairs and low windows make it best suited to children over 8 years old.

There’s something magical about staying in a medieval tower with sweeping views across glorious countryside. Whether you’re attempting doubles tennis with family and friends or simply soaking up the scenery, it’s an experience to remember.
