Gîtes des Papillions is located in the gorgeous area of Correze, Nouvelle-Aquitaine (formally Limousin), and is the perfect place for a relaxing get away. Whether it’s to relax by the pool enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the French countryside, use as a base to explore the breathtaking villages and local wines or to be adventurous with mountain biking, hiking, canoeing and many more activities.
Gîte de Monarque is a spacious Gite perfect for family retreats or group get aways.
Master Bedroom | This includes a carved dark wood double bed and bedside tables. There is also a large double wardrobe with shelves and a large comfy chair for those moments when you just want to read quietly!
Bedroom Two | This room has 2 comfy double beds with the second double bed being tucked away on a mezzanine floor, perfect for families with young children.
Bedroom Three | The third room contains two single beds, although this is the smallest room it is a good size, with bedside table, wardrobe and draws. In addition there is a double sofa bed in the main lounge for when ten people are staying.
Outside:
The grounds are over 2 acres mainly laid to grass. It is a secluded area with plenty of room for children to kick a ball and run around in. There is a swimming pool 9m x 5.6 m x 1.2m with alarm and safety cover.
It is shared by the two gîtes. Second gite is closed September to April. There are loungers, parasols, and a gazebo for extra shade. We have also provided various outdoor play equipment such a swing ball and badminton.

The small village of St Julien le Vendomois is a 15 minute walk away which has a bar, there is also a church and a lovely shop housed in a barn called A&J Vintage Collections.
The nearest supermarkets are in in Lubersac only 5.6km away here you will also find other shops, bars and restaurants, takeaways, a banks and a tourist office.
There is so much to see and do in the area with the beautiful old medieval village of Ségur-le-Château 3km away and Pompadour with its race course, home of the national stud is only 10km.
There is a choice of several lakes with beaches/activities 2 of which are 20mins and 30mins drive away. There are many outdoor activities in the area such as horse riding, fishing, go karting and of course biking on the lovely quiet roads, these can also be hired locally. Being right on the edge of the Dordogne it also only takes 1 and a half hours to get to the famous town of Rocamadour set into the cliff side, there are also lots of caves around here to visit.
