Les Gîtes Condorcet are four individual and extremely tasteful, self catering cottages built in a charming converted stable in the heart of a vibrant Catalan village, Pyrenees-Orientales, Languedoc. The gîtes are accredited by “Les Gîtes de France”, are fully equipped with all imaginable home comforts and offer exceptional value for money. They are finished to a very high standard, with natural solid pine floors, exposed beams and beautiful stonework throughout. Each has a private fully furnished patio with barbeque.

The owners, Tim and Gill Boldry and their children Jack and George, guarantee guests a warm reception all year round whether they are individuals, a couple, a family or a small group of up to 23 persons. They are on hand to provide advice before and during their stay and to help make it as enjoyable as possible.

Surrounded by vineyards, St.Laurent de la Salanque is situated near to Perpignan (the home of French Rugby). The village boasts a large traditional Catalan market twice a week and is linked to a number of Mediterranean beaches and neighbouring villages by a network of peaceful cycle paths. Spain, Andorra and a number of wine producing valleys are within easy reach by car and the regional mountains, rivers, lakes and coastline play host to the full range of outdoor activities. There is a string of local festivals throughout the year celebrating the area’s rich history, unique culture and mouth-watering cuisine.

THE BLUE HOUSE:

The Blue House is ideal for a large family or small group looking for great value for money accommodation in a clean and fresh yet rustic setting. Refreshing colour scheme, cool tiled floor downstairs, pine floors upstairs, exposed beams and rustic brickwork throughout.

On the ground floor, there is a modern and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine leading to an open plan living/dining area with a wood-burner, chunky solid pine dining furniture, and a comfy sofa. There is also a handy cloakroom with wash basin and separate WC.

On the 1st floor there are 2 double bedrooms. One is en-suite with a 140cm bed the other has a larger 160cm bed. There is a family bathroom comprising bath/shower, wash basin and WC.

The 2nd floor is an attic bedroom with 4 single (90cm) beds under the original beams.

Outside a south facing private patio leads to a shared garden with an outside summer shower, childrens’ toys and shady pergola.


OTHER FEATURES:

Each gîte benefits from very well maintained furnishings, fixtures and fittings.

All have a Wi-Fi connection and in each living area there is a television, DVD player, hi-fi, board games, books and local tourist information.

The kitchens are well stocked with plenty of pots and pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. Each has an oven, hob and extractor, microwave, coffee-maker, fridge/freezer, washing machine (or access to one) and dishwasher*.

Bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds, blackout curtains and plenty of wardrobe space.

There is electric heating throughout and wood a burning stove in the Red House and in the Blue house.

For our youngest guests, a high chair, travel cot, baby bath and potty are available upon request.

Outside, the private patios are equipped with table, chairs, parasol and barbeque – note that there is no smoking allowed inside the houses.
Parking is available in rue Condorcet in front of the gîtes. All guests have access to the French boules area.
