We had an excellent fortnight in the Old Stables C..

We had an excellent fortnight in the Old Stables Cottage. Accommodation clean and comfortable, lovely rural location, but all amenities nearby, great base for visiting the region. Owners friendly and helpful. The number of other guests on return visits during our stay shows how good this place is. The kids really loved the pool and the animals! Recommend without hesitation.

I can highly recommend this as a perfect family ho..

I can highly recommend this as a perfect family holiday location (this was our third visit). The accommodation is spacious and light with all the necessary amenities and a great private outdoor area. There is plenty of space to roam around and the pool is large and well maintained. There is a lovely relaxed vibe about the place and the hosts are perfect, they are there to assist and advise you whilst never being too intrusive. There are usually 3 other families on site when we stay which means that you have people to socialize with by the pool side if you wish but you also have your own private area to escape to if you prefer. The site is a pleasant 15 minute walk to Sauve a beautiful medieval town with a selection of restaurants that even my fussy family enjoyed, it is also surrounded by cycle paths which I find great for jogging. There are many interesting places to visit by car if you want to be more adventurous and we never run out of things to do; there are many large sandy beaches within a 45 minute drive , there are mountains to explore and apparently numerous outdoor activities but we haven't experienced these ourselves (the girls aren't keen). There are some great towns to visit Nimes is only about a 30 minute car journey and has many fine tourist attractions as well as shops (useful when you have teenage girls) Arles and Avignon are also worth a visit and our favourite town is Montpelier which has a terrific park and ride system for easy access as well as a great FREE zoo. There are also plenty of smaller towns to explore which often have their own markets (on certain days). I have recommended this place to friends who I know would like a relaxed family holiday in a beautiful setting with the option to do as much or as little as you wanted. I think the ultimate seal of approval is the fact that my daughters ages 14 and 18 love the place and are keen to go back.
