This house is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated, it has a very well equipped kitchen and everything else will you need during your stay. One of the most important things for us is that the beds are comfy and the house is clean and tidy. It has a very large garden with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and a private pool with a large patio area. There are plenty of sun loungers and reclining chairs for taking in the sun and lots of pool toys and table tennis to keep the kids happy. The house is situated in a lovely sleepy hamlet, with a shop 2 minutes walk away, where you can pick up some of the essentials but there are several larger villages and towns within a short drive where you can find supermarkets for a bigger shop and restaurants and cafes if you fancy a bite out. 15 minutes away, Bourdilles has a castle and a chateau and some lovely restaurants, Brantome has a great market on a Friday and some great places to eat next to the river. I could go on and on about places that you can visit within easy reach of the house but there are too many to list. The owners happy to give assistance and the house was ready for us on arrival, nothing to do but put your bags down and head for the pool. We have stayed at the house every summer for the last 3 years and we love it. We will definitely be going again and would recommend it to anyone.

If you love sunning by the pool, wine, food, and a quiet beautiful setting then this is for you. The pool is amazing and a must in the hot weather. The house is spacious and homely and the owners accommodating and helpful. The location is great, being around the corner from picturesque villages, swimming lakes and restaurants. We love it and would go back without hesitation. You will not be disappointed.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 children stayed here for 2 weeks in August 2018 and had a truly fantastic holiday. The house is big and spacious, arranged over 2 levels with a large living room in the upstairs, with french doors out to a sunny balcony for dining. There was a well-equipped country-style kitchen just off the balcony which was very convenient. The downstairs had 2 further bedrooms, living space and an extra kitchen which was great for storage and servicing the charcoal BBQ just outside. The large pool in the garden was well maintained, clean and surrounded by plenty of space for sunbathing and lounging around. There was also lots of space in the garden for playing games and for the children to run around. Two bikes with helmets were available for our use and also a table-tennis table. There is lots to do in the surrounding area: Brantome and its market, canoeing on the Dronne river, the Lascaux caves, Grotte de Villars and Bourdeilles chateau are all close by. Thoroughly recommended.

Les Cerises is a great place to relax. Whilst in the middle of a small village the only sound is silence (and a few pigeons).

A very well equipped and comfortable property where you can do as much or as little as you wish. The pool area and garden are excellent with ample space for children to enjoy themselves in total safety.

The surrounding area awaits you to find those unexpected views and treasures which abound all through France.

Discover the best pizzeria at 'Le Cabanon', Creyssac, a wonderful evening meal at 'Le Pont Moulin', Lisle and a super lunch at 'Rouge' a bistro in the centre of Tocane-St-Apre.

If you want quiet unspoilt this is the place. Sleep hamlet with one shop/bar yards from the house Ideal location for cycling/walkers not hilly The house is large and modernised with all facilities. The terrace for Barbie's is wonderful. We were unlucky sunshine wise in September (unseasonal !) so did n't make much use of the pool.It was dry and warm enough to eat out every night. The pool area is wonderful and there is a large garden for football etc ,there are loads of play toys for pool use plus Badminton and table tennis equipment A car is essential for going out and about but Brantome is only 15minutes away at most with several nice restaurants. Here you will find a Carrefour and Aldi plus cheap fuel at Carrefour and there are good eateries within

Very comfortable house, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Lovely, large garden and excellent pool with plenty of seating and little extras, like inflatables, table tennis etc, which kept our 2 children amused. Enjoyed sitting and eating out on terrace in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Great house to get together with friends and family - plenty of room.
Quiet village, with small shop/cafe. Lots of supermarkets a short drive away and local markets with tasty French produce. Bourdeilles, very close by, has a fantastic open air food fair on Wednesday evenings in the square, during summer and a chateau in the pretty village.
Loads to see and do - kayaking, swimming, walking, horse riding, historical sites and beautiful chateaus. Brantome is gorgeous and close by, a little further afield, Aubettere has a great beach area on the river, our children loved it. Good base for exploring medieval villages and castles. We visited Hautefort Chateau and Jumillac castle - well worth a visit.

This house is great in a small village with bar and shop. The sun sets where fantastic as was the lightning storm on one evening. The rooms where big with plenty of space so as not to get on top of each other. Outside was a large law and at the bottom of the garden you can lay on the grass and see the wonders of the universe and all its stars. The owners could not do enough for us and the bedrooms were all ready for when we arrived. The heating in one room was a large wood burner that was great to sit around drinking a nice glass of win as was the upstairs terrors. We will definitely come again.
