Charming, Renovated Country Cottage in rural France, The Dordogne - Chez Levrault

A charming, renovated country cottage surrounded by fields, offering high quality accommodation in a peaceful location.

Chez Levrault is a tiny hamlet situated in the beautiful heart of rural France, where the Dordogne meets the Haute-Vienne and the Charente.

The cottage sits at the rear of Marcel’s small family farm in about two acres of secluded garden which is surrounded by gently rolling meadows grazed by Limousin beef cattle and donkeys.

This region abounds with lakes, forests and tiny winding lanes perfect for exploring.
There is a wide variety  of things to do such as walking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, golfing, horse riding and go-karting (an exceptional outdoor championship course just 20 minutes away).

Although the cottage is in a rural area we are very well placed for towns and cities should you feel the need for a dose of culture or a spot of retail therapy, both Limoges and Angouleme  are less than 50 minutes away.
Even closer there is the well known weekly market at Piegut, just 15 mins away.
Throughout the region in summer there is a plethora of festivals, fetes and locally organized events such as Nightwalks- a circular evening walk with  stops en route for aperos and nibbles culminating in a meal with wine, eaten all together, or weekly farmers’ markets where you can wander round, buy your choice of meal and wine, have it cooked for you and then enjoy the evening sat at communal tables in the village centre.

A car is essential, whether your own or hired at the airport (Limoges is the nearest).
