Brittany Holiday Cottage Rental with Pool in Plouaret, France / FARM COTTAGE
Kervegan Bihan is a former farm that has been converted into holiday accommodation and is situated in about 1.25 acres, surrounded by farmland and small woods. The property comprises four houses, two detached and two semi-detached; parts of which are reputed to date back to the 15th century.
Kervegan Bihan is situated in the beautiful north Brittany countryside, a 4 kilometre drive from the small town of Plouaret. The sandy beaches of St Efflam and St. Michel-en-greve are about 15 minutes away. The Granite Rose coast, with its stunning rock formations, beaches and bays is about 30/35 minutes away and easily reached.
The properties have been tastefully renovated to retain many of the original features, including exposed granite walls, beamed ceilings and huge stone fireplaces. All houses have modern, well equipped kitchens and comfortable furnishings.
Outside is a ten metre, heated, covered swimming pool. Boules pitch and paved basket ball area. Each house has its own private lawned area, barbecue and patio furniture. There is also an extensive shared grassed area for playing.
There is also a large parking area and a shared laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer. (2 euro charge for use of machines). Each house also has its own rotary clothes line.
There are excellent seafood restaurants at Locquirec, Tregastel, Perros-Guirec and other small costal towns as well as other more general restaurants in Lannion and Plouaret.
The Farm Cottage can accommodate up to five people in three bedrooms, one double, a twin and a single. All bedrooms have exposed beams and double glazed "Velux" type roof windows.
The ground floor features a spacious, open-plan area comprising lounge, with wood burning stove, dinning area and kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, micro-wave and other small appliances; an open stair-case leads to the first floor. Also on the first floor is a shower room with toilet and wash hand basin.

Arrival time is after 4pm, departure is before 10am on the final day of your holiday.
All prices are in pounds sterling, and are per week (Saturday to Saturday).

Duvets, pillows and mattress protectors are included. Some guests prefer to bring their own bed linen and pillows etc but for those who don't a full set of linen can be hired for £13 per guest. The linen pack includes duvet cover, sheet (single or double as appropriate) pillow cases, hand and bath towels for each guest, bath mat, kitchen towel, tea towel and oven glove.
A high chair, cot and bed-guard can be provided on request at no additional cost. A folding bed is also available for a child in a parent's room. If required, please request these items when booking.
With the exception of the Stables all gites have stair gates insitu. Unfortunately it is not possible to fit a stair gate to the spiral staircase in the Stables. Parents should also note that the vertical spinals on the spiral staircase are sufficently far apart to allow a small child to put their head through and possibly fall. Children should be supervised while using this staircase. Some older people and those with mobility problems may find this staircae unsuitable.
The swimming pool is available for use (strict rules on use apply) and is fully alarmed for safety. Guests are supplied with their key for access/safety.
Gas and electricity is included.
There is shared laundry room with an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer (small charge for use). All houses have an iron and ironing board.
Also outside is a Boules pitch and a netball practice area. All houses have patio furniture. parasole and a barbeque.
Logs for the fire or wood burning stoves can be purchased locally by guests either from a nearby farm or from the proprietors or caretaker.
