La Châtaigneraie is set within several acres in the peaceful Deux-Sèvres countryside, named after the beautiful chestnut tree that stands on the main lawn. The bright 1920s farmhouse, adjoining barn, and three cosy self-contained gîtes were all tastefully renovated in 2022. With their own private pools and gardens, the farmhouse and gîtes can be rented individually or together.

Sakura is a traditional French farmhouse located in the heart of the countryside. Fully refurbished in 2023, it features a new open-plan kitchen and living area, along with a light-filled barn conversion. This charming property offers everything needed for a relaxing stay, including a private pool and garden, a pool/snooker room with bar area, BBQ, and ample sleeping space—ideal for families, friends, and children. The surrounding area offers wonderful walks and cycling routes to nearby lakes and villages, with excellent restaurants and shops within a 15-minute drive.

Accommodation
The ground floor offers a spacious open-plan living area, kitchen, and barn conversion, complete with air conditioning, heating, and a fireplace. There is also an adjoining games room with pool table, a utility room, and a downstairs shower room with WC.

On the first floor, you’ll find the main bedroom with a large double bed, a second bedroom with a small double bed, and a family bathroom with bath, shower, and WC.

The second floor includes a third bedroom with a double bed and a fourth bedroom with four single beds, ideal for children, along with a separate WC.

All rooms are equipped with both air conditioning and heating.

Outside, a beautiful south-facing garden features a private swimming pool, BBQ, and outdoor dining terrace. The property enjoys wide open countryside views, along with access to fields, a children’s play area with swings and slide, and a boules court.

Guests have exclusive use of the main house, pool, and gardens, including the children’s play area and surrounding grounds. The pool is secured with a safety gate.

A shared common area with WiFi is also available, suitable for remote working.

In addition, guests have access to a further two hectares of grassland, shared with the Les Trois Canards properties, which includes another children’s play area.

The nearby town of St Maixent l’École, just 10 km away, has a train station with high-speed rail connections, placing Paris at approximately two hours away.
