Our stay in Elizabeth's beautiful gite was a delight! We know the area well, but fell in love with the idylic location. The accomodation was tastefully decorated, meticulously clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully kitted out for proper cooking and all the usual household equipment was easy to find. The pool area was an absolute godsend, but there was no shortage of lovely walks and shady spots directly from the gite. The location is perfect for visiting the many, many beautiful towns and villages this area is most famous for. We enjoyed bike rides, river swims, chateaux, markets and some lovely restaurants, all within 15 k of the gite.
Elizabeth and Steve were excellent hosts; keen to ensure that we had everything we needed and very much on hand for local advice. Steve is an absolute mine of information on the history and culture of the local area. Will definitely be back!

How wonderful! The house, very comfortable, with a very well-equipped competitive kitchen, is located on a large property surrounded by greenery and flowers, wooded, in a region of breathtaking beauty. It's even better than you can expect from looking at the photos.
Elizabeth and Steve are very welcoming, concerned about the comfort of their guests and discreet.
What more could you ask for?

We spent a lovely week at Elizabeth's place. The barn and its surroundings are beautiful. Ideal for a quiet country break. Great walking from the barn, with super local wildlife. The local village of Daglan is very pretty with a boulangerie for getting your morning bread, etc. Elizabeth and her husband are very friendly and helpful and it was lovely meeting them.

As a family of 7, Elizabeth and Steve's place was perfect. The barn is beautifully converted and well equipped - the linen and towels were spotless and the pool and furniture were really clean and almost like new. They couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly, especially with the numerous questions we had during booking! Even when a small issue arose, Steve was round in lightning speed to sort things out. Daglan and the surrounding area of the Dordogne is beautiful with the chateaux and medieval history whilst still having supermarkets and other shops a close drive away. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. The barn is comfortable, stylish, well equipped and very clean. The swimming pool was an added bonus which was much enjoyed by our young graddaughters and indeed all the family. Daglan is a pretty village in a most interesting part of the Dordogne. The owners, Elizabeth and Steve, were welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

Absolutely fabulous stay
We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Steve and Elizabeth are very welcoming and friendly and the Barn is a stunning place to stay.

Droomverblijf !
Vlot. Alleen had VPRO niet doorgegeven aan de eigenaar dat we een hond meebrachten. De communicatie daarover vanuit VPRO was alles behalve duidelijk. Gelukkig zijn de eigenaars hier bijzonder mee omgegaan !

Very nice stay
Very nice property ideally located in a magnificent region with multiple activities to do. Pleasant owners. Too bad we could not enjoy the swimming pool not open because of the weather conditions. Stay to repeat a little later in the season.

excellent stay
We spent 4 days in this superb house, in all respects consistent with the photos and the description on the site. The accommodation and its exteriors are perfectly maintained. The house is tastefully furnished, quiet, with quality equipment. It is large enough for 8 people because the rooms are spacious. Steeve and Elisabeth are charming and welcoming people: Steeve told us the history and the renovation of their property. An address to keep, to recommend without hesitation.
