This beautiful, tranquil and well renovated holiday home is located 25km south of the Dordogne River amid gently rolling hills, orchards and vineyards. This charming property comprises 2 bedrooms and is situated near many Bastide towns including Castillonnes; Eymet; Issigeac; Lauzun; Monpazier and Monflanquin.
The cottage features its own private garden and boasts far reaching views and secure parking. There is also a large gated swimming pool, a large patio with barbecue, plus outdoor furniture equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. For entertainment, there is also a table tennis table, football and badminton/volleyball nets.
ACCOMMODATION:
2 bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 - furnished with a king size bed and has an ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 2 - can be configured to requirements, 3 single beds or 1 ‘king’ and 1 ‘single’.
Main Bathroom - is equipped with bath/shower, WC and basin.
Kitchen – modern and fully equipped with adequate seating to accommodate all guests.
Sitting Room – fully furnished for a comfortable 'night in’ with English Freesat television.
Property has Wi-fi connection.
The owner’s property is located on site and the owners will be there to meet/greet you and assist you during your stay.
THE AREA:
The house is situated in Lalandusse, a small hamlet in the heart of the French countryside, 25km south of Bergerac and just 6km from the Bastide town of Castillonnes. There is much to see in the surrounding area, the 13th century fortifications such as Eymet, Lauzun, Monpazier, Monflanquin, Villereal and the medieval town of Issigeac are all nearby and well worth a visit!
Most mornings a colourful market can be found in one or other of the local towns and summer night markets are plentiful. All small towns have their traditional summer fetes which are advertised locally - normally under your car windscreen wipers when parked!! Failing that, both Castillonnes and Eymet have good Tourist Information Offices in the town squares. There are many good local restaurants in the area and musical entertainment to explore.
For golf enthusiasts, there are 18 hole Golf Courses at Chateau des Vigiers and Villeneuve-sur-Lot with an attractive 9 hole course at Tombebeouf.
An Aquapark on Route de Bordeaux out of Bergerac and Canoeing on the Dordogne, Dropt, Lot and Vezere Rivers.
Local stables and tennis courts are available.
Wine tasting is available at most, if not all, vineyards and vineyard tours plentiful.
Most towns will be visited by a travelling Medieval Festival throughout late July/August.
