Lovely Montpellier apartment ideally located just a short walk from the centre of the old town and a shorter walk still to local bakery and shops. Being a largely traffic free area, the apartment benefits from easy access (trams/railway/cycle hire are all a very short walk) whilst being quiet and free from car noise.
The apartment is spacious, well equipped, comfortable, clean and has a fabulous balcony for breakfasting/lounging in the sun (or under the canopy for shade).
Montpellier is an excellent location that wasn't previously on our radar - a beautiful old town with scenic squares for relaxing, old architecture and public gardens for sightseeing and a largely car-free centre that encourages pedestrians & cyclists. Its 'Velomagg' bike hire scheme, like Paris/London, allows easy and inexpensive access to bikes without having to find a hire shop. It's a flat, scenic hour-long ride along a riverbank cycle path to local beach towns.
