A Spacious Holiday Home near La Rochelle
Set in the peaceful village of Saint-Médard-d'Aunis, Ma Maison de Vacances is a spacious 180m² holiday home offering a relaxing base for families and groups wishing to explore La Rochelle, the Atlantic coast and beautiful Charente-Maritime.
Recently renovated and thoughtfully decorated, the house combines the welcoming atmosphere of a family home with contemporary comfort. With five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, a private enclosed garden and plenty of space to relax, the property is ideally suited to groups of up to 10 guests, with accommodation for 11–12 people possible by prior arrangement with the owner.
The entire house benefits from reversible air conditioning/heating, while Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, a billiard table, table football and a children's area provide entertainment whatever the season.
Monika, the owner, offers a warm personal welcome and can assist guests in French, English, Dutch and German.
Living, Dining & Kitchen
The heart of the house is its bright open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, incorporating an insulated and heated veranda overlooking the garden and terrace.
The fully equipped kitchen provides everything required for self-catering holidays, including an oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, American-style fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.
A wood-burning/pellet stove creates an inviting atmosphere during cooler stays, while a Smart TV, children's corner and table football provide additional entertainment.
A pantry/utility area with washing machine is also available.
Upstairs, a second living and games area provides another space in which guests can relax, complete with billiard table, Smart TV and comfortable seating.
Five Comfortable Bedrooms
The five bright bedrooms have been individually decorated to create calm and comfortable spaces. Quality bedding and household linen are provided, and beds are made ready for guests' arrival.
Ground Floor
Bedroom 1: King-size bed (180 x 200cm), which can be arranged as twin beds.
Bedroom 2: Two 90 x 200cm single beds, which can be joined to form a 180 x 200cm bed by prior arrangement.
Bedroom 3: King-size bed (180 x 200cm), which can also be arranged as twin beds.
The ground floor also has a bathroom and separate WC.
First Floor
Bedroom 4: King-size bed (180 x 200cm), convertible into two 90 x 200cm single beds.
Bedroom 5: Double bed (140 x 190cm).
The first floor has a shower room and separate WC, together with the second lounge/games room.
A secure staircase connects the two floors.

To the rear of the house is a peaceful, flower-filled enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding countryside.
The sunny terrace and garden provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor living, whether enjoying breakfast outside, relaxing in a hammock or sun lounger, reading quietly in the garden or gathering together for an evening meal.
Outdoor facilities include garden furniture, sun loungers, table tennis and a barbecue/plancha, subject to the property's conditions of use.
A garden shed provides useful secure storage for bicycles, making the property particularly convenient for guests wishing to explore the surrounding countryside and coast by bike.
Private parking is available within the property.

Ma Maison de Vacances has been designed for convivial holidays with family and friends. Its combination of five bedrooms, two living spaces, children's facilities and indoor and outdoor games means different generations can comfortably holiday together while still having space of their own.

The essentials:
You'll always find everything you need in the kitchen: oils, vinegars, salt, pepper, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, American-style refrigerator, microwave, and oven. Coffee, tea, and herbal tea are provided, as well as dish towels and cleaning supplies.
The house is also heated/air-conditioned upon your arrival.

Upon request, you will find a high chair, a baby bed with mattress, a bathtub… available for the youngest children.

The 180m² house is rented clean and tidy; we ask that you return it in the same condition. A cleaning fee will be charged if you are unable to do so.

The house is rented clean and tidy, and we ask that you return it in the same condition. If you are unable to clean the house, a cleaning fee will be charged and must be paid upon arrival (by check or cash), bearing in mind that a minimum level of cleaning is expected of you upon departure. If the cottage is not left in a satisfactory state of cleanliness at the time of the check-out inspection, additional cleaning and maintenance hours will be charged by the owner or their representative (see your contract and the signed cottage rules).
The cottage has reversible heating and cooling throughout, ensuring coolness in summer (air conditioning) and warmth on cooler days. A generous electricity allowance is available thanks to the recent installation of photovoltaic panels.
Please note: the electricity produced by the solar installation may not be sufficient to meet the household's needs. Solar panels do not produce energy at night, and their output may decrease in cloudy conditions. Any excess electricity consumption will be billed after the meter reading upon the guests' departure, according to EDF's regulated rates (see the contract and the cottage's internal regulations).
Regarding the pellet stove, a 15kg bag of pellets is included in our winter rates. Guests can also purchase additional bags directly if they wish. Each bag is charged at the purchase price. Of course, during the winter months and when the weather requires it, the cottage is heated free of charge by us before the guests' arrival.
A 25% deposit is required upon booking. For bookings made less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the full amount is due immediately. The remaining balance for the entire stay must be paid at least 30 days before the arrival date.
