The Beachouse Barn in Vendays Montalivet - Fine Wine and Superb accommodation!

Nestled right in the heart of Vendays-Montalivet in the Medoc, is our former tobacco barn and an annexe with outdoor kitchen and courtyard. Ideally located for relaxing days at the beach and near some great places to eat. 

Although, it's not on the most beautiful street in town for this laid-back summer beach pad, but don’t be put off – once you’re settled into the house, all will be fine. 

Vendays village, a 2 minute walk, is a bustling village with everything you could wish for 3 bakeries,  a butcher, 3 restaurants, Carrefour supermarket and an excellent delicatessan.  

From the village guests can cycle through forests and marshes, or drive to the 12 kms of sandy beaches of Montalivet and enjoy its huge everyday market famous for wine tasting, oysters, foodie delicacies, hippy clothes, bangles and beads.  It has a relaxed young surfer vibe - (lessons can be booked),  a fun night life and plenty of restaurants shop and entertainment.

Jane, the owner, runs her antique shop four days a week with coffee and cake – everything will be for sale including all in the Tiny House.

The Accommodation:

It has an unusual but flexible layout suitable for all age groups.  The Tiny House comprises of 2  independent double bedrooms with bathrooms en suite, one of which has a kitchenette and childs bed.   

Then its out onto the patio for a rainwater dip pool and outside kitchen with steps up to a flat roof for sun bathing. From the patio you can access the spacious sitting room wwith TV, Wifi, comfy seating, pretty fabrics and another double bedroom, 120mcm bed, with bathroom en suite.  Art is original and furniture antique but comfortable. Once you've settled in to the house you will enjoy the relaxed beachouse style of the whole area and the convenience of having most amenities on hand without needing to drive.

Guests can prepare simple lunches in the kitchenette or sizzle something on the barbecue – at night fairly lights will glitter.
Spend long days on the sandy beautiful beaches, cycle along quiet paths through pine forest, visit the food shops and the bustling Montalivet market.
