Situated in the Minervois, a seductive region in the west of France’s Languedoc, tucked in between the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Black Mountains and the Canal du Midi, the family-owned Château St Jacques d’Albas benefits from a wealth of natural advantages to produce impressive wines.

Over 60 hectares of forest and garrigue, teaming with wildlife, and an 11th century chapel, protect the 26 hectares of vines. Our philosophy from the beginning has been to limit yields and take an organic approach to managing the soil and the vines.


3 self-catering "gites", with access to a large pool and tennis court are available to rent, by the week during summer and for shorter periods outside high season. Being away from any major roads or conurbation, they offer peace and quiet for families. Dogs are welcome. 


Les Orangers (50 m2) - 4 pers


Les Orangers offers a living room and dining area with fitted kitchen area. Two bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC. The gîte opens out onto the central courtyard with outdoor seating and a bbq.


A swimming pool measuring 12m x 6m is available to guests, with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. 

A tennis court is situated under the shade of large pine trees, and a boules pitch is also available fur guests' use. 

Our Services 

Sheets and bedcovers are supplied, and beds made up on arrival. We ask guests to provide their own towels. 

Cleaning on departure is included in the price.

The village of Laure Minervois, 2 km away, provides for some shopping needs, whilst the larger towns of Trèbes (13km) and Carcassonne (17km) offer a large choice of supermarkets and shops. 

If you are looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday, far from the mass tourism, you will appreciate this beautiful region with its hills and valleys, its intense quality of light and wide variety of places to visit. 

Within an hour you can be in the Pyrénées, the Black Mountains, the Corbières, the Minervois, and also visit Toulouse, Carcassonne and Narbonne.
