In 1204, Pope Clement IV stayed here for five nights. The château was originally larger and may have included a monastery. Today, it still holds many hidden features, including concealed staircases, stories of underground tunnels, former towers, and secret vaults.

Ongoing restoration work continues to uncover new details, with careful input from skilled artisans.
