La Ferme Plate, offering a peaceful retreat within an attractive space, our traditional farmhouse (350m2) located on the heights of a small plateau of meadows accessible by private road.

The surrounding landscape is a delight, with beautiful panoramic views of the unspoiled countryside of Ariège and the high peaks of the Pyrenees, visible from the house, gardens and swimming pool, The house faces due south perfect for relaxation in the sun or shade of the terrace.

The house has been renovated preserving and respecting its charm of yesteryear, while incorporating the best of modern comfort.

The main part of the house is on the right of the building and includes a cinema room and a reception room on the left.

The owner lives on site but is always discreet, while being available for any maintenance or advice needs during your stay.

Accommodation at Gîte La Ferme Plate

A large farmhouse kitchen equipped with all modern comforts, wooden beamed stove dining table open the next door to find the large living room of approximately 45m2 with a slate / snooker pool table a Kenwood Hi Fi with connection MP3.

There are three other doors that takes you to the bathroom shower room stairs. The other to the laundry room with refrigerator, washing machine and freezer, and the third in the bedroom down stairs of about 35m2.

Take the stairs from the room to find the vaulted room that has the main exposed beams and patio doors leading to the south, outside there is a double bedroom with shower and toilet – very useful if some members of your group find stairs a bit difficult!

Back in the kitchen to find the stairs to the complete bathroom with toilet sink. Leading from this room, you will find the 7th bedroom which also has a shower room as well as 5 single beds, four windows and velux window with fitted blind.
Take the stairs down to find the family room with double bed and two bunk beds and large windows facing south.
Pass along the passageway to the other two double bedrooms with king size beds and windows one to the south and one to the north, both with fantastic views of the countryside.

There’s a pool table in the Gite, a separate games room with table tennis, baby foot, and a darts board. The cinema room is available on request with 3 metre screen, X box and some games.

By appointment only – a 80 square metre Cinema Room – with a 3.5m projector screen, surround sound system, XBOX etc.

Yoga Studio
La Ferme Plate is a fabulous venue for yoga retreats and workshops , the studio is 175 m2 with fantastic views to both the south and the north . We have had many retreats held here and groups returning each year .
For those groups that require extra rooms we have two double rooms which can be used if required.

Kitchen facilities include; Cooker (Range), Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher(x2), Washing Machine and Microwave.

Laser machine, smoke machine and sound system for parties, weddings and other events.

External Facilities
We have a lit covered terrace area for Alfresco, Charcoal BBQ, seating & table and chairs to accommodate up to 30 people.
We also have an Exclusive use Saline  5 x 10m Swimming Pool, complete with semi circular roman steps, solar heated shower and sun loungers. Pétanque court and 1,5 hectares of garden for you to enjoy.  All set within 2 hectares of the gardens, with a separate grassed area suitable for football games and more, all with magnificent scenic views of the local area.
