The Neighborhood

Located 7 km west of Villefranche, the village of Denicé (1513 inhabitants) extends along the Nizerand valley.
The Deniçois invite you to come and discover their village, its picturesque hamlets, its listed chapel in the 12th century Gothic style or its many castles.
The town has a bar/restaurant, a newsagent, a post office. The activity of the village is also supported by artisans, the Friday afternoon market, the municipal library.

Beaujolais
To the south of Beaujolais, at the gates of Lyon, Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées is a guaranteed favourite!
Here the alleys of the villages light up and change colors throughout the day. This very special golden stone is made of limestone which, being tinted with iron oxides, takes on this golden color.
The country of the Golden Stones is a stroll through small towns of character such as Ternand, Châtillon d'Azergues or Charnay. Do not forget the jewel in the middle of this region: Oingt, the only village in the Rhône department ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages in France!
A land of castles, don't miss Bagnols, the Château de Rochebonne or the Château de Rapetour in Theizé. On foot for a hike, as a duo on a motorbike or even by bike: all means are good for getting around.
Southern gateway to the Beaujolais Wine Route, the hilly landscapes of the Pierres Dorées offer remarkable views from one village to another.
Don't forget your cameras: the most beautiful shots are taken with Golden Stones!

Lyon
"Best European weekend destination" according to the 2016 World Travel Awards, Lyon has been able to transform itself and offer a cultural offer marked by numerous festivals (Festival of Lights, Festival Lumière, Nuits Sonores, Biennale of art and dance, Quai du thriller, Woodstower…).
Unesco, which listed 500 ha of the city as a World Heritage Site, was not mistaken. The ocher colors of the facades of old Lyon and Croix-Rousse, the astonishing mixture of Gothic from the Middle Ages with the Italian Renaissance style gives it a unique charm. Between Saône and Rhône, the former capital of Gaul, silk and printing, Lyon the good living, has become one of the major metropolises of France and present-day Europe, economically, gastronomically and cultural with, in particular, the opening of the Musée des Confluences).
