Nestled within a spectacular natural amphitheatre of cliffs, Domaine des Escavalins enjoys a truly exceptional setting. Protected from the Mistral winds, the estate offers breathtaking views stretching across the Provençal hills towards the Mediterranean Sea.

A Passionately Restored Estate

In 2004, Mark and Gerry purchased the farm, which was then largely in ruins. They lovingly restored the estate and replanted 2,000 olive trees, initially following the strict guidelines of the prestigious AOC Huile d'Olive de Provence quality label.

Their first commercial batch of extra virgin olive oil was produced in 2010, and in 2014 they chose to move away from the AOC label in favour of organic certification, reflecting their long-term commitment to sustainable farming.

Today, the estate is managed according to the principles of regenerative agriculture, including a small flock of sheep that naturally maintain the olive groves while enhancing biodiversity.

A Unique Holiday Experience

Since welcoming its first guests in 2011, Olives en Provence has become a destination for travellers seeking peace, nature and authenticity.

The charming 3-Star Gîte proudly became the first holiday rental within the Sainte-Baume Regional Natural Park to receive the prestigious "Valeurs Parc" quality label, recognising its environmental commitment and sustainable tourism practices.

The estate now combines olive oil production with two distinctive holiday rentals:

• The Gîte – a charming 3-star apartment offering comfort and traditional Provençal character.
• The Cabanon – a beautifully designed tiny house set amongst the olive terraces, approximately 100 metres from the bastide, providing a peaceful retreat surrounded by Mediterranean flora and abundant wildlife.

Both accommodations are completely independent, with their own private entrances, parking areas and outdoor spaces, ensuring complete privacy throughout your stay.

Access – Part of the Adventure

Reaching Domaine des Escavalins is all part of the experience — and one of the reasons this remarkable location has remained so beautifully preserved.

Access involves:

• Travelling through the narrow, characterful streets of a traditional Provençal village.
• Following a 3 km forestry track that climbs through the forest to the farm.

The track is unpaved and can be rough and uneven in places, so it may not be suitable for every vehicle or driver. For many guests, however, this journey forms part of the adventure and contributes to the unique charm of the estate.

This protected access has helped preserve the property's exclusivity, ensuring the surrounding landscape remains wonderfully unspoilt.
