2 bedroom self catering Gite located in the heart of the sunny Charente-Maritime department of France. This lovely holiday property is part of a restored farmhouse that can accommodate up to 4 guests.

L'Ecurie has been tastefully restored to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation and shares a large pool with two other gites. L'Ecurie is situated on the outskirts of the village of le Pouzat, only a ten minutes drive from the charming old town of St Jean D'Angely. Larger parties may also wish to stay in L’Etable next door that sleeps 5. The gites both have a roomy dining/sitting room/kitchen comprising of a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas hob and oven, tv/dvd player, hi-fi and a comfortable sofa. There is a double master bedroom with ensuite showerroom, wash basin and WC. The second bedroom can sleep 2 more people and boasts an ensuite bathroom with wash basin.

There are plenty of attractions and activities to be found nearby, including: great restaurants, the pretty villages of Saint-Jean D’Angely, Loulay, Saintes, Cognac and Oleron with its stunning beach. The Zoo at Royan is an hour away and fantastic for a children’s day out. Futuroscope is about 75 minutes away and is well worth a visit. Other attractions include Fort Boyard, the zoo at la Foret de Chize and the beautiful beach at Chatelaillon-Plage. Aulnay is around 20 minutes away and has shops, bars, restaurants, supermarket, markets and a Forest which is great for walking and cycling enthusiasts. For the more active few among you, tennis courts, a boating lake, indoor pool, crazy golf and go-karting are all close by. The gites are approximately 40 minutes from beautiful beaches, including La Rochelle.
