Restored Haute Vienne Holiday Farmhouse with Pool in Chateauponsac, France

This tastefully restored spacious house is spread across three floors and is full of charm and character with many of its original features still remaining.

Inside the house there is a large fully equipped kitchen diner, a large sitting room, an additional open plan seating area, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
There are 3 bedrooms along with a sofa bed that can be found on a first floor mezzanine - sleeping up to 8 guests. One of the bedrooms boasts a large double bed and the other two bedrooms both have two single beds in each (one set of which are 3/4 size beds). There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is a shower room and the other having a bathtub with a shower over. Both bathrooms have a toilet and washbasin.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should require and includes an oven, 4 ring hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a dining table with 8 chairs.
The spacious living area is great for our guests to relax with its easy chairs, comfy sofa, coffee table, satellite TV and a selection of books and games for you to enjoy. There is also a large wood burning stove for the winter nights.

There is central heating and also wireless internet access available throughout the house.

Outside the house you can enjoy a patio and large lawned area, with a separate walled, west facing, patio BBQ area, a selection of outdoor furniture and some outdoor games that include badminton and boules and indoor games barn with pool, darts and table football available. There is also a swimming pool available for you to use, but please be aware it will be shared with owners. Also note it is only open between May and October as it is only heated by the sun!

The Nearest town is Chateauponsac and is about 1.5 miles from the house and provides all of your local amenities. The historic city of Limoges, at around a 35 minute drive, has a large shopping area and is known for its porcelain. The surrounding area is great for walking and biking with canoeing and horse riding available locally. Fishing is also available on numerous lakes and local rivers. For our golf lovers, there are 2 courses which are around a 30 min drive from the house with skiing possible in the nearest resort, Mont Dore in the Massif Central, which is just over 2 hours drive away.

There is a great selection of water sports available in the summer months such as sailing, canoeing, and water skiing and there are two leisure lakes with sandy beaches, within a 20 mins drive. There are bars, restaurants and snack bars available at each lake along with equipment hire available.
