GETTING HERE
We are close to many airports, the Avignon TGV & Gare Central Train Stations and a 15 min drive from the A7 autoroute. You can find us 10 mins south of the closest train stn, the Avignon TGV where car hire is available all year round. You can also access the TGV line directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport terminal 2 and it takes around 3 hours to get to Avignon. Cheaper flights from Europe come into Marseille (60 mins drive), Nimes (45 mins drive), Avignon (15 mins drive), Montpellier (75 mins drive) or Nice which is a good 2 hours on the autoroute.

IMMEDIATE AREA
At 500m from the village of Rognonas with all its services, south of Avignon on the road to St Remy de Provence you are an easy 10min walk to several bakeries, a supermarket with boucherie , a traiteur, bar, pizza takeaway, Post Office, pharmacy, several restaurants, banks with cash machines & even an intimate Wine Tasting Experience. The thriving heart of Provence, Avignon is a 10-minute drive with simple access to several parking buildings. The Avignon TGV Train Station is approx 10mins away. For the non drivers a regular bus service runs between Avignon & St Remy-de-Provence passing through Rognonas, bus stops are a 5min walk.

A vast choice of restaurants await you in the villages of Rognonas, Chateaurenard, Graveson, Eyragues, St Rémy & Avignon . Avignon, 10mins drive away offers all that a large sophisticated city offers in a "user friendly" atmosphere. Of course, as the sun and heat are part of the main reason you come to Provence, do leave time to luxuriate in our beautiful gardens or poolside with a book and that all important glass of vin!

THE REGION
The area abounds in historical sites, market towns, hilltop villages and museums. The city of Avignon with the Palais De Papes & Pont St Bezenet is an easy 10min drive & its 'sister city' of Villeneuve Les Avignon across the mighty Rhone River. Saint Remy de Provence featuring Van Gogh history & Beaucaire with its picturesque canal are a dawdle at 25min drive.

The area has year round markets in well known towns of Carpentras, Uzes, St Remy, L’isle sur La Sorgue, Seasonal festivals along with plenty of historical & educational sites. You can travel up to 1 hr in any direction & be on top of Mt Ventoux, at the beach, tasting sumptuous wines, riding a horse in the camargue, strolling through a local or Provencal market, canoeing under the Pont Du Gard, golfing, cycling through quiet back roads or just sitting in a cafe watching people. You will have so many choices to make that a few hours by the pool might be the only thing you get around to doing!

For the non drivers, there is regular daily bus service into Avignon and the surrounding towns of Arles, Chateaurenard and St Remy.

For the explorers, within a 45-60min drive you can be on the beaches of the Mediterranean, in famous wine areas of Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas & Tavel, strolling around the Roman towns of Nimes, Orange or Arles, marvelling at the 2000 year old Roman aquaduct of Pont Du Gard or smelling your way amongst the lavender fields & ogling famous perched villages of Gordes, Oppede, Rousillion, Venasque & Menerbe in the Luberon, or even wadding through the 'etang' of the Camargues with its famous white horses, bulls & nesting sites of the pink flamingos,

For the more adventurous, 60 to 90 minute drive will take you to the Roman & Medieval town of Vaison La Romaine, to the top of Mount Ventoux where the Tour de France regularly visits on Mediterranean beaches, in downtown Marseille or the beautiful village of Cassis for a picturesque boat trip to the Calanques, the Camargue with Les St Maries de la Mer and Aigues Mortes.

You can go canoing on the Gardon, the Ardeche the Sorgues or horseback riding or simply sun bathe by the pool the options are numerous and not so easy to decide!

As well as standard self-catered "Gite" accommodation, we offer a range of services to make Mas Saint-Antoine "more than just a Gite", ranging from local information services, day tripping suggestions to relaxing poolside Pizza evenings.
