Jura Holiday farmhouse Rental with pool in the Franche-Comte, France

This large farmhouse, with swimming pool, in the Jura mountains of the Franche-Comté can accommodate 12 comfortably but has beds for 15.

Bois de Ban is situated in Loisia, a small hamlet with only five other inhabited houses, all of which are small farms. The nearest is 150 metres away.

Ground floor
Kitchen /dining room with double sink, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, mixed gas and electric hob with an electric oven underneath. The worktops are tiled with fitted units and wall cupboards in pine.

A long elm-oak refectory table will seat twelve people while a further round one will seat six more.

Sitting room with a mezzanine and a wide staircase leading to the first floor. There is a wood burner which can complement the central heating if necessary.
A television receiving programmes from France and Switzerland in French, Italian and German as well as the Astra range of news and current affairs CNN and all German channels.
There is good reception of BBC Radio 4 in the daytime. At the North end of the house is a utility room with washing machine, sink and a freezer.
There is a shower room with basin and WC.

First floor Six bedrooms, three of which have double beds and there are seven single beds as well which are made to be put together to make very large doubles if required.

Bathroom with bath, shower cabin , WC and basin. Separate WC and basin off the central landing.

Second floor This includes a games room 20ftx25ft with ping pong table and dart board, a window looking South and two Velux roof windows.

Seventh bedroom plus the central landing has two more beds.

There are two cots for babies.

Outside
We have seven acres sloping down to the East with the house at the highest point. There is about an acre of lawns, 2 acres of pasture grazed by sheep and 4 acres of woodland. We stay in a chalet about 100 yards from the main house so that we are on hand to deal with problems or supply information

There is a circular in ground swimming pool 6ft deep and 18 ft in diameter with a Lacron 16" filtration plant which ensures crystal clear water at all times. Gates to the pool area can be kept closed if you have small children. In use May 30 - September 15.
