Jourdain is a unique holiday property which combines a clean and modern style with a mixture of traditional stone and wooden features . The open plan double height living area comprising lounge , dining , kithchen and study area is both bright and exceptionally spacious . The bespoke kitchen is finished in maple and includes all the usual appliances as well as an american fridge/freezer .

The lounge and two of the four bedrooms have large glazed panels with doors opening onto the wooden terrace and southerly views over the open Charentais countryside .

The house is set in a totally enclosed garden and access to the parking area is by remote operated gates providing a very safe environment for children . The private swimming pool is 12m x 4m with a depth range of 1 to 1.6m and has an alarm system fitted to comply with french safety regulations. Additionally in the garden is a private Petanque court (french boules) with a set of playing boules available in the property.

An external dining table with seating for 8 is located on the wooden terrace along with a gas barbeque . An electric operated sun canopy provides shade over the lounge terrace.

Supermarkets , banks and restaurants are available in the nearby towns of Chalais  or Saint Agulain  both 6 miles , 10km . The highly popular historical towns of Aubeterre and Angoulemne are within an hours drive as is the very picturesque town of Saint Emillion fanous for its vineyards .
