Our house, and its rooms, have been placed for a century under the sign of the golden star of Félibrige , that of Frédéric Mistral, the seven-pointed star,the star of the seven poets of Provence: Frédéric Mistral, Joseph Roumanille, Théodore Aubanel, Jean Brunet, Paul Giéra, Anselme Mathieu, and Alphonse Tavan. The seven branches recall the seven regions of Occitanie: Auvergne, Dauphiné, Guyenne, Languedoc, Limousin and Provence, Gascony.In Aix en Provence, our guest room, which is in fact a suite (large entrance, bedroom, bathroom with bathtub and shower, private toilet). - By car, on the A8 motorway coming from Lyon, Marseille or Nice take exit 30 (or 30a or 30b) “Aix Center Ville” and go up towards the center, boulevard Pierre Brossolette, then take the third street on the left, avenue Saint-Michel du Pigonnet.

Château de Lourmarin, in Luberon
To get there by car, 40 minutes from Aix city center, in Aix en Provence, head towards Pertuis taking the A 51 or the departmental roads, cross the Durance and take the D 973 which runs along the Durance direction due west. Leave the D 973 to take the direction of Cadenet on the right (D 943) then go north towards Lourmarin.
The village is charming, very well maintained with many small non-franchise shops of all kinds (decoration, clothing, restaurants, bars, pottery, etc.). It is part of the very exclusive circle of “Most beautiful villages in France”, in which the writer Albert Camus is also buried.
At the entrance to the village located on a small hill, the Lourmarin castle awaits you for a discovery tour of its history linked to the village. It is open all year round except for one week at the beginning of January, it consists of two parts: a castle dating from the end of the Middle Ages (built on the foundations of a destroyed fortress) with its tower and its part dedicated to the The dwelling and a Renaissance period castle adjoining the first level also has its tower (very beautiful spiral staircase) and its large, larger and better lit living rooms. This second castle is oriented North-South and you enter from the South side.
