Gite Rental for two with Pool In Quiet Location, Near Brantome, Dordogne, France - The Stables

One of two beautiful Dordogne holiday gites set in a peaceful restful location in St Just, Nr Brantome, Dordogne. Set on a quiet lane with 5 houses which form the hamlet of La Roche Chabrelle.
For the privacy of our guests we only rent out one of our gites at a time; unless one party take both. (Our other Gite is property ref. 4184)

The gites are next to the owner’s house which is the last building along the lane and is set in an elevated position. Our guests can enjoy some lovely views overlooking the woods and surrounding farmland, and will experience a relaxing and peaceful area, great for exploring the many interesting surroundings. The area is quiet yet within easy reach of the towns La Tour Blanche, Brantome and Riberac, all with a good selection of shops and restaurants.

This good sized single bedroom gite has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. In the Bedroom you will find a king sized bed with a large wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table. In the bathroom there is a large walk in shower / wet room with a wash basin and toilet. Please note the washing machine is in a recess within the bathroom.

Decorated to a high standard the lounge / dining room offers our guests a dining table and 4 chairs, comfy seating, mood lighting and it is fully equipped with a TV/DVD to receive UK TV, a CD player with Ipod dock, ideal for those restful evenings. High speed Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the property. The kitchen area is well equipped and includes a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, and a coffee machine.

Outside the gite there is a terrace that opens off the lounge and is lightly covered by a fig tree for shade. With an outside table and chairs the terrace is perfect for those summer evenings, whether it’s enjoying a good meal or just lazy drinks. The pool and sun terrace are situated away from the buildings for privacy with great views across the valley.

The property is located approximately 2 hours to the Atlantic coast at Royan. There is a beautiful swimming lake near to the market town of Riberac, where you can also enjoy a relaxing walk. The nearby river Dronne also has a number of swimming beaches where Canoe hire is also available. Please note that most of the swimming areas have lifeguards during the summer months of July and August.
Daily groceries are available locally in La Tour Blanche where you can also enjoy a wonderful great value restaurant. There is also a beautiful English owned bric-a-brac shop. Supermarkets can be found in a Tocane, and Riberac.
Other places of interest include, the beautiful town of Brantome which is known as the Venice of the Perigord, Bourdeilles with it's castle and chateau, the caves at Villars, the pretty town of St Jean de-Cole, and Auberterre-sur-Dronne, a hill village with a Monolithic church carved out of the rock. For our fishing loving guests there are plenty of places available locally for fishing.
