Set on a peaceful hillside overlooking Bordeaux, Château Gassies is more than an 18th-century estate—it is our home.

We are Géraldine and Ben, your hosts, and we created this place to share what we cherish most about France: its culture, gastronomy, and art of living.

After many years abroad, restoring this historic château became our way of opening the doors to an authentic French lifestyle—where heritage meets comfort, and elegance feels effortless.

Today, Château Gassies offers a peaceful retreat with refined suites, beautiful views, and a warm, personal welcome.

Ideally positioned between Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, the Médoc, Sauternes, and the Dordogne, the estate is perfectly placed to explore the best of Southwest France—from world-renowned wines and gastronomy to charming villages and exceptional restaurants.

Weddings at Château Gassies

Celebrate your special day in a setting full of charm and romance.

Exchange vows beneath centuries-old oak trees, in the heart of the park, or under the elegant arches of our 19th-century courtyard. Continue the celebration with cocktails on the west terrace, overlooking Bordeaux as the sun sets behind the majestic cedar.

As evening falls, gather in the reception hall, where chandeliers and antique mirrors set the scene for an unforgettable dinner and celebration.

The following morning, enjoy a relaxed brunch with your loved ones before beginning your new chapter together.

Our Suites

Sleeps up to 16 guests
(5 double beds, 2 single beds, with up to 4 additional rollaway beds)

Our six spacious suites combine character, comfort, and understated elegance. Each is individually styled with carefully selected antiques, offering a unique atmosphere within generous volumes. All suites are air-conditioned and connected to fibre optic broadband.

Guests enjoy full access to the château’s facilities, including a heated outdoor pool (seasonal), hammam, sauna, fitness room, and tennis court.

Suite Cèdre (47 m²)
Our largest suite, south-facing with park views, featuring an en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. A refined and timeless space.

Suite Olivier (45 m²)
Elegant and spacious, with park views, a bathroom with bath and shower, and separate toilet.

Suite Séquoia (35 m²)
Bright and comfortable, south-facing with an en-suite bathroom and peaceful outlook.

Suite Tilleul (35 m²)
A harmonious and inviting suite with park views and a calm, refined atmosphere.

Suite Cyprès (30 m²)
Our only twin suite (two single beds), offering the same elegance and comfort, with park views.

Suite Chêne (25 m²)
Located on the ground floor, this suite is adapted for guests with reduced mobility. It features garden access, park views, and a bathroom with bath and shower.

Our Guesthouses

Sleeps up to 27 guests
(6 double beds, 1 single bed, 4 trundle beds, 3 sofa beds)

Just 10 minutes from Bordeaux TGV station, our three independent guesthouses—Orangerie, Calèche, and Vignes—are set within the château’s private grounds.

Each offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, comfortable living space, and air-conditioned bedrooms, ideal for a more private stay. Guests also enjoy access to all estate facilities.

The Guesthouses

Orangerie (220 m²)
A spacious home with 4 en-suite bedrooms, accommodating 8 to 13 guests. Features include a large living area, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and outdoor terrace with barbecue.

Calèche (160 m²)
Offering 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this guesthouse accommodates 6 to 10 guests. Includes generous living spaces, two fireplaces, and a private terrace.

Vignes (62 m²)
A charming apartment accessed via a spiral staircase, featuring one en-suite bedroom and an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area.
