Nestled in the tranquil countryside near the charming village of Laugnac in southwest France, Château Lasfargues is a holiday retreat ideal for families or groups seeking an authentic and relaxing French escape.

The château offers eight inviting bedrooms spread across three floors, along with a mix of elegant and informal living spaces equipped with modern amenities. Surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds and abundant natural scenery, it provides a peaceful setting to unwind.

This is a place where loved ones can reconnect and friends can gather, whether enjoying spring blossoms, cooling off in the pool during summer, or taking in the rich colours of autumn in a calm and picturesque environment.

Available as a self-catering rental, the property can be booked weekly, with a minimum stay of four nights in the low season. Up to 15 adults can enjoy exclusive use of the château and its grounds, with all linens and towels included.

Approached via a stunning tree-lined avenue that has stood for over a century, the château makes a striking first impression with its grand façade. Yet beyond its stately exterior, the atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, offering all the comforts of home.

Guests can dine outdoors on the terraces, stroll through the orchards, or relax beside the private lake—perfect for picnics. The property truly offers something for everyone.

For those who enjoy staying active, there is a games room featuring table tennis and a range of traditional wooden and racquet games. Music enthusiasts can also make use of an electric keyboard, drum kits, and more.

ACCOMMODATION:

Ground Floor:

The Château offers luxurious accommodation, boasting 8 bedrooms all furnished to a high standard (scroll below for bed configurations)
Annex to the Living Room is a children’s Toys & Books Room for 
Annex to the Drawing Room is the Office. 

First Floor:

"Versaille" sleeps 2, a kingsize 4 poster bed with an en-suite bathroom set in the tower, French windows overlooking garden.
"Lille" sleeps 2-3, a double + a single, with its own en-suite bathroom set in the tower. French windows overlooking the swimming pool, terrace and gardens.
"Aix-en-Provence" sleeps 2, a kingsize with en-suite bathroom, French window overlooking the lake.
"Chartres" sleeps 2-4, a double + single and a pull-out trundle bed. The en-suite has a shower, basin and WC. Garden View.

Second Floor:

"Arcachon" sleeps 2, is a large double room with en-suite shower-room set in the tower. Same view as Versaille.
"Saint-Etienne" sleeps 2-3, is a large double room plus a single with en-suite shower-room set in the tower. Same view as Lille.
"Cannes" sleeps 2-3, is a double room + single with access to the family bathroom and WC. Same view as Aix-en-Provence.
"Le Mans" sleeps 2-5, a double + a set of bunk beds and a toddler bed (1.3m long), ideal as a kids room. Same view as Chartres.

The Grounds
The colours of the gardens are ever-changing with the seasons, and offer the formality of cut lawns and sunny terraces, as well as meadows, orchards and a private lake to enjoy.

Outdoor dining on the terrace overlooking the lake is great for BBQs and a perfect way to enjoy the sunset. Look out for the family of little ducks and a family of shy beavers who have settled lakeside!

The large 12m x 6m heated pool is a sun trap in the warmer months, and two tented gazebos are provided for some needed shade.

Located in the serene Lot-et-Garonne countryside, the château is just a short walk from the village of Laugnac, where you’ll find a bar, bakery, and church. The nearby River Lot offers activities such as canoeing, sailing, boat trips, and cruiser hire.

A short drive away is the lively town of Agen, as well as over 40 charming bastide towns rich in history and character. The region is celebrated for its outstanding cuisine, with daily farmers’ markets and a wide selection of restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets.

History enthusiasts can explore nearby medieval villages, with Pujols and Penne d’Agenais among the most picturesque. Golfers may wish to visit the 18-hole Golf d’Albret course in Barbaste, approximately 30 minutes away.

Surrounded by renowned wine regions—Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion to the west, Cahors to the east, and Buzet to the south—the château also lies in the heart of the famous prune-producing area known for Prune d’Agen.

Special Rental Conditions

The maximum total number of guests allowed in the entire château is 15. The additional beds are there to provide flexibility in arrangement.

2 cots for babies and a changing table are also available.
Some single beds are flexible and may be moved by guests upon approval, but must be returned to its original location at departure.

Booking Policy:
Bookings are only secured once the availability is confirmed and a deposit has been received. The booking needs to be paid in full 90 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable thereafter.

Deposit:
30% of total rent payable on booking acceptance and is non-refundable.*

Refundable security deposit:
€1,200 is required to cover any damage or breakages to the property.

Please be aware that any breakages, loss or damage during the rental period or indeed additional cleaning required after your rental period will result in deductions from your security deposit. In addition, you (the person making the booking) remains liable for the full costs of replacements or repairs which are not limited to the amount of the Security Deposit. You are fully entitled to request an invoice and receipts itemising any deductions.
