If you are looking for a different kind of holiday, a unique wedding or a special event, the castle is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend quality time with your friends and family in a relaxed environment.
An overview of the Raysse Estate
Booking the Château includes complete exclusive access to the Estate. The Raysse Estate comprises of the Château, the Maison du Parc and the Pigeonnier apartment. In total we offer 15 beautiful and unique ensuite bedrooms and then another two bedrooms with one bathroom in the apartment. We can comfortably sleep up to 38 guests.
During your stay, you and your guests can enjoy two kitchens, dining area, library/living room, Events Hall, two swimming pools and beautiful grounds.
Additional Accommodation and Surrounding Area
If you need extra accommodation for additional guests, we work directly with our neighbours who have a beautiful holiday villa available for another 10 guests. Please let me know if you would like some more details for this. There are also numerous other properties in the village which are available on Airbnb and VRBO and there are some lovely hotels in Souillac which is just five minutes away. In addition, there is a pretty campsite/glampsite a fifteen minute walk from the Château.
We are ideally located on the outskirts of a rural village, with stunning views of the Dordogne Valley, but remain within easy reach of shops and restaurants. The nearest airport, Brive, is just half an hour from the Chateau, with Bergerac, Limoges, Bordeaux and Toulouse Airports all being great options as well. If travelling by train, Souillac is on the direct line south from Paris and road links are very good in the area.
If you are looking to host a wedding or other celebration, the Estate offers many beautiful options for your event. Hold your ceremony under our romantic archway, with an aisle lined with cypress trees, then head to the lawn for an elegant cocktail reception beneath the Château's medieval circular tower. In the Maison Garden, there is ample room for dining for up to 90 people.
Inside, we have the dining hall and library, which offer excellent Plan B options, as well as the main hall upstairs in the Maison which can be used for dining, your ceremony, dancing or canapés and can accommodate up to 70 seated guests. The Maison Hall is also equipped with a PA system which you will have access to throughout your stay.
Suppliers, Planning and Coordination
We have a list of recommended suppliers which can help guide you. At Château du Raysse we aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to organising your event and so can offer as much or as little support as you require - meaning you have the freedom to choose whichever services and suppliers you wish to make your event just perfect.
We also offer many additional services such as providing waiting and bar staff, styling/decorating, in-house continental breakfast, event set up/break-down, cleaning, bakery and grocery deliveries, organising activities for your group (for example, wine tasting or canoeing on the Dordogne), booking taxis and transfers and much more.
In addition, if you would prefer a wedding or events package, we can also provide this for you. This can be adapted to your budget, style and guest numbers.
