Charming Holiday Home for Rental in St Julien aux Bois, Correze, France

BIENVENUE !Welcome to 'La Vieille Auberge' - a unique French holiday retreat.

This old coaching inn, situated in the picturesque village of St Julien aux Bois, is a stunning period property of great character, comfort and warmth.

It is the perfect base from which to explore one of the most beautiful regions of France and the unspoilt local scenery.

Built as a Coaching Inn in 1812, you will still find some of the original features dating back many years. The stone trough at the front where the horses would drink. The iron ring where the horse would be tethered and the stone bench where the coachman would rest in the morning sun. Almost two centuries later, the house has been sympathetically updated with three bathrooms, central heating, huge log-burner, kitchen and a dining room fit for a banquet.

It is claimed that on one of his visits to the Correze region, Jacques Chirac stopped to look at this beautiful old house whereupon he was invited inside and stayed to eat. The meal was prepared by a local lady who still lives in the village.

'La Vieille Auberge' is available to rent and is ideal for couples or groups of up to six adults and possibly two children. If you have any questions, the owner will also be delighted to speak to you personally.

Rooms: La Vieille Auberge is very spacious and will comfortably sleep up to 6 adults, with the potential for a further 2 children to sleep in the traditional wooden bed downstairs or the guest bed located in one of the bedrooms.

The house has gas central heating with the addition of two log burning stoves.
NOW WITH WIFI ☺

There are three main bedrooms (one twin bedded and two double.) Two of these have en-suite bathrooms, there is also an additional shower room and separate toilet downstairs.

The central dining room has a large dining table to seat up to 16 people in true old world style.

3. Payment of the balance of the rental together with a separate cheque for the security deposit of £100 should be sent to the owner (see clause 4.) not less than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owner reserves the right to give notice in writing/email that the reservation is cancelled. period the remaining rental price for that occupancy will be payable on demand.

8. The Client agrees to be considerate and to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean condition at the end of the rental period. The Client also agrees not to act in any way which may cause disturbances to those who reside in the neighbouring properties.

9. The Client shall report to the Owner and/or the Owners local representative without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or other appliances in the Property or garden.
