Villa Emma is located at a very small village in the heart of Burgundy, a region very well known for its extraordinary wines. It is situated 11 km from Beaune, in what is called "les hautes-côtes de Beaune" in the hillside.
It has its own small and very traditional old fashion bakery (just across the street).
Beaune is a highly touristic city of only 22 000 inhabitants but with three 5 star hotels (and soon two more in Pommard at 7 km from Villa Emma) and several 4 star hotels. Beaune is at a junction point of three motorways and located at 3.5hrs by car from Paris (1.4 hrs by TGV), 4 hrs from Luxemburg and Belgium, 3 hrs. from Germany, 2.5hrs. from Geneva and the Alps and at 4 hrs. from the Mediterranean coast.
Beaune, and its close surroundings, is the epicenter of many cultural events from March to end of November (the prestigious "vente des vins" in November at the "Hospices de Beaune") with several music festivals (Musique et vin, de Bach à Bacchus, festival Beethoven, festival de musique Baroque, several jazz festivals...), the very prestigious "Chapitres de la confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin" at the clos de Vougeot,. The Beaune area does also provide a large variety of recreational activities as visits of wine domains and vineyards, hot air balloons and bicycle tours, golf (18-hole golf course at Levernois, at 17 km. from Villa Emma), and several gastronomic restaurants from 1 to 3 Michelin stars.
The kitchen is fully equipped for 10 persons but dinnerware for more, 2 ovens, 2 fridges, freezer, coffee maker,water heater, microwave, dishwasher..,
Guests can use the spa facilities, or enjoy garden views.

- Room Elaine de Kooning: 44 m2 with balcony and a king size bed.
- Room Joan Mitchell : 36 m2 and two 90x200 cm beds,
- Room Vieira da Silva : 16 m2 with one queen size bed,
- Room Marry Cassat : 20 m2 with two 90x200 cm beds
- Room Lee Krassner : 57 m2 with two 90x200 cm beds
We love dogs but the house has delicate objects so it can only be possible with small, adult and very well trained dogs.
Weekly prices : 8 000 € in high season and 5 000 € in low season.
We can take care of the daily cleaning and gardening when the clients are out visiting the area and can provide breakfast service every morning (18 € per person per day for breakfast),
The closest international airports are Lyon (1:40 ) and Geneva (2:30h).
The nearest train station is Beaune (11 km from Villa Emma) and TGV from Paris at 1:40h to Dijon Station (which is at 40 minutes by car or 15 minutes by changing the train in Dijon). Also by train, from Lyon, at 1:40 to Beaune station.
