The village itself is dominated by a medieval chateau. It is basically a farming community with a post office and a mairie and a bread van that comes through every morning. There is a small food market every Tuesday morning.
Less than 2 km. away is St. Laurent La Vernede which has a bakery and a small general store. St. Quentin la Poterie, famous for its community of potters also has a butcher, a supermarket and many bakeries.
There are numerous excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in the area.

There are some wonderful walks to be enjoyed through the pine forests, vineyards and lavender and sunflower fields.

For golf enthusiasts, there is a very pretty golf course to be found near Uzes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there is the possibility of renting clubs. (There is a ladies and mens set of clubs in the house)
