Set on the banks of the Vienne, just across a quiet, local road. Riverside Holiday Home on the edge of Confolens. The property comprises a large, gated and secure garden and terrasse overlooking the park and river. It's ideally set  with a children's park oppposite and within walking distance to shops & bars.

Accommodation:
The house itself boasts a large kitchen which is fully equipped with electric cooker and hob. The washing machine is downstairs in the cellar/garage where you can park your car. 
The separate dining room overlooks the terrace and the comfortable living room boasts large windows and TV. All the windows in the house have shutters.
The dining room with double doors opens onto the walled terrasse where you can sit outside to eat or sunbathe while enjoying views of the park and river. There is a small rear patio outside the kitchen, with shade for hot days.

On entering the house from the porch, the downstairs shower room with toilet/sink is to the right and the kitchen is straight ahead. The large hallway has a character staircase leading to the upstairs where you will find a large shower room with bidet, toilet and sink.

Bedrooms:
Upstairs are the three double bedrooms, one with a small balcony overlooking the park, the rear bedroom enjoys fantastic views over the garden and there is an additional room with twin beds.
A young child in a cot can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Heating is mains gas and is available in the winter months.

The Area:
Restaurants, bars and shops are a 5 minute walk away. Delicious fresh croissants, bread and cakes can be purchased daily. The town shops sell regional produce and a small food market visits the town centre every Saturday morning. 
Perhaps choose a night at the cinema where they also show English language films in the summer.
The local hospital is just 3 minutes by car.
There are many great citivities for guests to enjoy nearby, including Fishing (with a licence), Canoeing, kayaking and pedaloes.
Swimming is available from the banks of the Vienne 100 yards across the park, and throughout the summer in the public oudoor pool which is just 2 minutes by car, 10 minutes by foot, is open June to September.
There is a large indoor pool 1/2 hr distant at Civray.

There are plenty of good walks and cycle routes to be enjoyed locally and chateaux, castles and abbeys to see, some less than 1/2 hr drive. The ruined castle of St Germain de Confolens is 10 mins by car. Visit the floating village in nearby Pressac, the race track at Val de Vienne or the lakes of the Haute Charente which are about an hour away by car. Bungee jumping and zip wires for the more adventurous are only 1/2 hr away in the pretty riverside town of Isle de Jourdain.

The Valley des Singes and Futuroscope are both less than an hours drive and are a fantastic day trip.
There is a golf course at St Julien, 1/2 hr away and a little tourist train which is good fun, runs from Confolens throughout the Summer. Confolens itself hosts a wonderful music and dance festival in late August, well worth a visit!

There are plenty of good walks and cycle routes to be enjoyed locally and chateaux, castles and abbeys to see, some less than 1/2 hr drive. The ruined castle of St Germain de Confolens is 10 mins by car. Visit the floating village in nearby Pressac, the race track at Val de Vienne or the lakes of the Haute Charente which are about an hour away by car. Bungee jumping and zip wires for the more adventurous are only 1/2 hr away in the pretty riverside town of Isle de Jourdain.
